The Firs Lodge

It's not easy to rate Firs Lodge. For the price, it's 5 star. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. Free parking - which would cost a tenner pretty much anywhere else. But, it's a bit tired. Surfaces were dusty, the lamp shade was a dust bomb, shower was a bit musty and everything was a touch cramped. WiFi was patchy. So, overall, five star. Great for one night. I'd stay again. Very friendly. But I probably wouldn't stay longer.

A simple but pleasant place to stay 10-15 minutes by train from Heathrow. The front desk staff was cheerful and helpful; they even let us use their computer to print boarding passes for our departing flight the next day, which was a tremendous help. The room was cozy and quiet --- the only drawback was the shower water, which kept cycling between very hot and very cold, but since we were just there for one night we didn't raise the issue to the staff. We didn't have time to stay for breakfast, but it looked good. It's a long ways from central London and the local neighborhood is bland, but for our situation of needing to catch an early flight, it was perfect and I'd definitely stay there again.

Very convenient location close to the tube/Heathrow, very good full English breakfast, NO hot water and very small room.

Lovely from start to finish. Welcoming staff...we got a 25% discount, (even on the one night we were staying), as the car park was not usable. (Being repaired). Lovely back garden and lovely room!"

Chosen near to Rail into London. Arrived in time for parking space. Very pleasant reception - Room clean and tidy - minute shower ensuite but acceptable. All staff polite and cheerful. Very clean. Breakfast generous and cooked to order. Room serviced and clean towels left although not requested. Thank you.

Well located near mass transit, shopping and Heathrow airport. It is a quality hotel and value priced. I provided ratings based on the overall quality against all hotels. If I considered the price as well, all of the ratings would be higher.

Normal and plain. Since shower pressure was extremely low I had a hard time to wash off the shampoo and soap.

After a long flight, it was good to find a hotel close to the airport which was quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast, full English, which was served by friendly staff. Will stay again.
