The Firs Lodge

Excellent welcome at reception, assistance was offered with my suitcase as my room was upstairs. Bed very comfortable, tea facilities good and bathroom good. Completely met my expectations. Close to Transport to Heathrow with alternative Tube or Bus link.

The Firs Lodge is a great place to stay if you're flying out of Heathrow. More to do within walking distance than you would find at an airport hotel and only two or three stops away on the Underground. It's a clean and comfortable hotel with courteous and efficient staff. There are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby for distraction. Nice free breakfast too.

Small room but nice, clean and warm. Very nice and helpful staff. Good location, 5 minutes walk from the nearest metro station and 10 minutes from the airport with a taxi. Very good English breakfast!

It's quite nice - clean rooms with a TV and tea making facilities. The shower temperature was occasionally erratic and it's a bit cramped in my room. However, if you aren't travelling with a big suitcase it's not a problem. It's less than 15 min from the airport (this includes waiting for the tube, etc) and I found it well suited for a night before a flight. The staff was friendly and the breakfast provided was really nice as well - though breakfast hour ended at 9, a bit earlier than I would have preferred. All in all, I wouldn't mind staying there again at all.

Stayed for one night with the wife and 2 kids before catching a flight from Heathrow early the next morning. Had a family room, which was fine with double bed in the middle and singles either side. Room was small ish but was fine for a night s stay. Was up at 4.30am so didn't have the breakfast. Free parking and WiFi was handy.

Great welcome and the rooms are clean and tidy, just what you need for a one night stay. They also allow you free parking for the night which was a great bonus. We had a twin room which was big enough for one night. The beds were comfortable. The full English breakfast was excellent well cooked. We also enjoyed the tea and coffee that come with it.

The hotel is a couple of miles from Twickenham and it's ideally placed to walk a couple of easy miles to/from the stadium. Car park out front means you can get away from a bit of traffic. You are also a short walk to tube for central London. Room was good but Heathrow flight path means windows need to stay closed. The staff were really helpful and polite. I would stay again for sure.
