The Chill Resort and Spa, Koh Chang

The level of service is incredible - every little detail is thought of - thank you the entire team and especially Dee. The facilities are also wonderful, with the long infinity pool overlooking the ocean and the access to it right next to the pool. There’s a very small beach only during low tide (afternoon) so please note if you’re looking to lay on a beach. Breakfast is super nice, the restaurant is on the water and you can choose whatever you’d like from the menu, as many times as you like, which means every dish is prepared on demand. The rooms are also really nice and spacious. Location is wonderful: Kai Bae strikes the perfect balance between quiet and buzzing, and the hotel is located in the middle of the strip. Don’t hesitate, this is a wonderful, great value for money option!

Es war alles super. Das Frühstück war mega und hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Der Pool mit dem Meer dahinter ein Traum. Das Hotel isrvruhig gelegen, aber um die Ecke eine große Auswahl an Restaurants zu Fuß ereichbar. Perfekter Aufenthalt für uns. Als einzige Kritik könnte man sagen, dass sie besser ein „Adult only“ aus The Chill machen sollten. In den ersten Tagen waren. Nur Pärchen vor Ort und es war eine tolle entspannte Atmosphäre. Dann kamen Familien mit Kindern und es war nicht mehr wirklich schön. Unruhig und laut. Für Kinder ist das Hotel aus meiner Sicht nicht gut geeignet. Es gibt keinen Strand und keinen Spielplatz und auch keinen Kinderpool.

We loved the facilities, the infinity pool and closeby Spa building as Wellas the gym. The staff was exceptional and very sweet to our little one. We also loved the Green design and how the designers and architects of The Chill were able create a calm and rejuvenating oasis in which we always felt tranquility and positive energy. Also the activities offered by the resort were nice and gave a personal touch to our already overall very positive experience. On the last evening we were able to celebrate Loy Krathong and sent off little floats made out of ice to the sea…

Some parts, eg rooms of the stairs and floors, could perhaps get a modest overhaul in the next years….

New, modern, spacious rooms. Beautiful infinity pool on the edge of the sea. Good evening restaurant (although expensive) with extensive menu including vegetarian. Great location walking distance from many bars and restaurants.

All of the balconies were in the shade throughout the day. The pool area and sunbeds fell into shade early afternoon. Needs an evening cocktail bar separate from the restaurant. No beach although we knew that before we booked. We prefer buffet breakfast as small plates so we had to order seconds

The villa is just amazing value for money. Very clean and spacious. All fhe staff were super attentive and the à la carte breakfast options were very nice. The special Loy Krathong buffet dinner experience was also unforgettable. All in all it’s a very calm and relaxing hide out on the shore of Koh Chang with plenty of other dinner options close by. They also offer complimentary kajaks.

If I start cherry picking an outdoor shower at the villa would be a nice add on. Beware that the tiny beach is only there during low tide.
