Best Western Plaza Hotel Hamburg

The actual one night stay was fine and we had no complaints. The €16 overnight parking fee, which was not mentioned in hotel details, was excessive and detracted from what was otherwise a good choice of hotel.

Good hotel, terrible breakfast. Conveniently located right next to S-Bahn Ohlsdorf station, which is one stop away from the airport. Beds are comfortable, room is a bit strange. Shower bath walls are glass, so there's no privacy if you are with kids. But spacious. Don't get the b'fast, its too expensive for its very poor quality (scrambled eggs were dry even at 6:30am in the morning!). Its my second trip here, so you can tell I liked the place.

This was my second stay at this hotel. All good typical 4-star and very conveniently located next to the Ohlsdorf train station close to the airport. I only had two issues: 1) for a single room, giving only a single duvet is a bit Spartan and unnecessary cost cutting. 2) Charging 15Euro for a very limited and basic breakfast buffet is ridiculously expensive, and there aren't really any alternatives in the area. Many other hotels charge 7-10Euro for a similar offering. Only side plates are provided, so the amount of food one can get is very limited too. Of course one can go back for more, but it looks greedy and unprofessional so I opted for a single serving and followed with a sandwich at the train station. This is not acceptable for 15Euro.

The hotel was close to public transportation (S-Bahn and U-Bahn). I enjoyed the 2 weeks I stayed there. Friendly, helpful staff (most of them).

Probably the cleanest hotel and the most detail-obsessed housekeeping staff I have ever experienced. Very modern interior (took me a while to figure out the second shower head). Very conveniently located for anyone arriving/departing by air: one S1 stop from HAM airport, then steps from Ohlsdorf train station (I actually walked too far - turn right IMMEDIATELY after leaving the east side of the station building). Excellent wireless reception in the room, but also has a couple of desktops near the reception desk. Very quiet. Ice-cold beverages in the fridge. Free movie channels. Two single beds moved together instead of a double bed, which I guess would make it less comfortable for couples (I was by myself). I used the hotel as my base to visit friends all over Hamburg - really convenient because you can go east and south using the S-Bahn, and west and south using the U-Bahn. Safe area. There's a restaurant in the hotel (which I did not try), but otherwise it's not worth sticking around in the neighborhood unless you like cemetery strolls. Great choice, I will return.

Breakfast outdoors was great in this lively city. Room spacious and comfortable. A/C was a bit weak but not usually a requirement here! Hotel right next to station

It was a great location being opposite Ohlsdorf station providing access to the city. Make sure you have a good walk though the cemetery opposite. It's over 300 hectares and fascinating. The room was great, plenty of parking, multi device free wifi was great also. Make sure you do your research if you want to eat outside of the excellent hotel restaurant. Although there appears to be a lot of places to eat, they appear to be lunch time venues in the main.

One stop from the airport, the train station is 50 metres from the hotel. Hotel is just fine, with very helpful staff and nice restaurant. Opposite the large beautiful cemetery park of Ohlsdorf. Can jumps on the train to be in the centre of town in 20 odd minutes.
