Sweetwaters Serena Camp

We originally booked just one night at Serena Sweetwaters, thinking it would be a quick stop — we ended up extending our stay because we simply couldn’t bring ourselves to leave. That says everything. Sweetwaters is an absolutely incredible property. From the moment you arrive, there’s a quality and warmth to the place that’s hard to put into words. The grounds, the atmosphere, the whole experience — it exceeds expectations at every turn. The staff are genuinely exceptional. Special mention has to go to Wilson, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel so looked after — a huge part of what made the trip so memorable. Thank you, Wilson. And then there’s the waterhole. No photograph does it justice. Sitting there and watching the wildlife come and go is one of those rare, completely unhurried moments that stays with you long after you’ve left. Indescribable, honestly. If you’re considering Sweetwaters, just go — and build in more time than you think you’ll need. You’ll thank yourself later.

Firstly, a big thank you to the staff for making sure we were well taken cared of during our stay Big thank you to Dan the manager who ensured we were comfortable at all times Mathias in dining who made sure we enjoyed our meals and was there to assist at all time Esther for ensuring our tent was clean and neat and finally chef Philip and his team for their sumptuous meals… Secondly, The water hole rooms are simply the best..,We saw so many animals from the comfort of our tents coming to drink water Thirdly,The game drives here are amazing !! Plus the visit to see the chimps and Baraka the Black Rhino We will be back over and over again!

The ambiance is exceptional, with very friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to my next visit.

Food Variety.

I cannot recommend this place enough. What a magical experience having African wildlife right at your doorstep. I highly recommend doing the guided walk amongst the wildlife with the experienced guides. So amazing and surreal to be out and amongst it. Thanks Denge 😊

We were very well looked after especially by Mathias and Gilbert who were excellent. The room was clean big and comfortable and we would stay again in a heartbeat.

We stayed for one night at Sweetwaters Serena Camp as part of a 10 day safari through Kenya and wished we'd had longer! The rooms were gorgeous, with very comfortable beds, a seating area on the deck, and windows that could be opened to watch for animals. The dining area and bar were also lovely; food was some of the best we had throughout our trip, wonderful service, a great view of the watering hole. There were also shaded benches throughout the property, which was a nice touch. We saw giraffes and zebra from our beds in the morning, and rhinos, buffalo, impala, and water buck at the watering hole!

Fabulous! This was our 3rd visit. The animal experiences are on par with the Maasai Mara and the accommodation is very comfortable and always clean. Staff are friendly and warm and nothing is too much trouble. Only the sounds of nature at night. We'll be back again, that's certain. Love it!
