"A great stay!"

8.0

We stayed here as part of a safari trip in Kenya, and what a delight. Our lodge was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We really appreciated the turndown service a hot water bottle in our bed ( it was not terribly cold, just chilly). Staff could not do enough to help us, food was excellent, a great buffet selection. We particularly enjoyed the bird life, but even more pleasurable was seeing lots of bush babies in the trees at night. They were very fast, but thanks to one of the camps security guards, we saw them. Lots of animals to see in the surrounding park. Highly recommended.

"Fab few days, definitely worth a visit!"

10.0

My wife and I spent two nights at Sweetwaters just before Christmas. We had a very enjoyable few days in a lovely location, with good game drives, pleasant food, attentive staff, and comfortable tented accommodation. It was great to be close to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy entry gate, and we also appreciated the freedom to drive our own 4x4 around the park without too much difficulty. While having local knowledge, and the slightly higher viewing platform, was an advantage when we went out with a game driver, there were still plenty of opportunities to enjoy self-guided drives. The only real downside was the darkness of the tents, they lacked a bit of natural light, which was exacerbated when the weather was inclement. Are we likely to return? Possibly, it may depend on whether we manage to explore some of the other parks and conservancies first. It’s definitely somewhere worth visiting, and it was fantastic to see four of the “Big Five” regularly, even if the elusive leopard managed to avoid us on this occasion. A fun few days and certainly worth a visit, especially for those new to Kenya.

"A bit overrated."

5.0

The location. The wildlife especially the rhinos. Great zebra elephants. Plus plenty of plains game.

Entrance fee was very high at $110.00 for non residents. The dinner and breakfast was adequate not very good.

"Very Good Return Visit."

10.0

After a very good stay in 2023 this was the only venue to which the four of us made a return visit in 2025 as we wanted to explore more. Ol Pejeta is ideal for self drive as we can go out as a four or in pairs. The car worked hard! We had waterhole view tents this time and more animals were coming to the waterhole than on our previous visit so we had excellent views while relaxing as well as when out in the car. We stayed for 3 nights at the end of our safari which was ideal. We could spend as long as we liked watching the behaviour of the animals and taking photos and could linger over our meals as well! Thank you Sweetwaters Serena Camp.
