Room was nice. Location nice

Food. We stayed a Saturday night. We had an evening meal. The staff in the kitchen were more interested in preparing Sunday dinner. Our meal wasn’t ever nice.

Staff were friendly

The beds were incredibly uncomfortable.

It was such a lovely location. We had a fantastic meal in the evening. The staff were very helpful & it was a bonus to learn they had a pool

Public areas were very good anf comfortable

Room 227 looked a little 'tired' and the bathroom lighting was poor especiall over the shower area

Garden room was great it accommodated our whole family staff were excellent

Location is very close to station, also very peaceful.

Television is VERY small and has poor service. Also the internet cuts out and is weak. The lift only goes to second floor so you have to climb to third. If someone has not closed in properly in previous use it does not come, so you have to find a member of staff to go and close it or climb to your room.

Just a short drive from Sheringham and on the North Norfolk train line so you could get a train from here to Holt or Sheringham, should you not want to try and find parking in those busy resorts. So location is good. If you want to play golf, literally on your doorstep and in a lovely peaceful village. Ample free parking. Check in was efficient and I had a room on third floor (small double). The lift is antiquated, which is quirky but it only goes to the second floor and you have to take the next flight of stairs yourself, perhaps something you should think about if mobility limited. The lift also requires the inner door to be shut by the person who last used it. If they haven't you cannot call it. Both times this happened a member of staff went upstairs to close it and it came. It is not large, it is quirky but not efficient. Comfortable bar area and a nice restaurant too. The costs of drink/food is not bad, in line with what you expect in any commercial venue, so overall that was pleasant as I did not want to go out. The room had a large bathroom with a lovely large walk-in shower. Rainfall shower head and lots of hot water. Toiletries are basic but perfectly sufficient, shower mat and nice warm towel rail, even on very hot day. Tea/coffee in room, hairdryer too. The tele is tiny. I don't mind a small television but I think this was the smallest I had ever seen. It doesn't bother me but if you love your tele it will disappoint. Also the TV reception is poor, as is wi-fi. I think these are basic points which can be improved as these are expected now in all hotels. If you are here to relax then not a major issue but if you are on business perhaps may be a problem. Staff were really friendly, very busy as there was a function on at the hotel so everyone was trying to do at least three jobs. Always a lovely smile and kind chat. They are a credit to the hotel. Dinner was perfectly OK, nothing special but not a bad price generally. Breakfast is a buffet, you can ask for your eggs to be cooked as you want but the rest is on a buffet style.

We had a lovely 3 nights here - a great location. Easy to get around without a car as train and bus stops nearby. Pool was quite cold so I only went in once. And breakfast was lacking fresh fruit and Greek yogurt, so was quite over priced for what we got. Staff were lovely and friendly.
