Grosvenor Gardens Hotel

Great hotel. The lady who met us was very nice. Excellent breakfast.

Lovely big spacious clean room. The hotel is ideally located near the Haymarket train station, 2minute walk. Excellent transport into the city centre. There are lots of lovely restaurants near the hotel too. All the people were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good in a nice airy room.

Good area and nice interior design, yet member of stuff was quite rude

Great location, awesome host, Mrs Chen? made you feel at home! She was very helpful on where to go what to do. Good breakfast. Room was large but shower was small. Only issue was, it was advertised as taxes and fees included which wasn't the case after I checked out.

The room was spacious and clean, the Wi-Fi and service in the property were great, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was up-to-date and clean. I mistakenly locked my key inside my luggage and I called the owner at 10 PM and she came to my rescue. Not only did she help me open my lock, she provided me with a brand-new lock and two sets of keys to take with me back. The hospitality was unparalleled. The breakfast was great and everyone who worked there along with the owners was courteous, kind, and wonderful. 11/10, will definitely come here again in my next stay in Scotland!

The rooms are cozy and well cleaned and kept up. It was a very quiet neighborhood. We also asked our hostess if we could get help with a taxi to the airport on our last night there. She said she would arrange it for us, and she also had a bag of breakfast goodies on our door in the morning. We were checking out early, so she made sure we had some things for the road. Very pleasant stay, and the location is very convenient. If you are up for the walk, it isn't too far from Princes Street and Old Town Edinburgh. However, it is super easy to catch the tram from a block away and be dropped of right at Princes Street Gardens. Lovely stay all around! Very impressed with this hotel.

I love staying in B&Bs inside of historic buildings, and Grosvenors Gardens Hotel did not disappoint! Mrs. Chan went above and beyond SEVERAL times to ensure to my husband and I had an amazing stay. Our flight was delayed so much that we did not arrive until well after midnight, and she stayed up to wait for us to ensure we made it safely and could access our room without any issues. She gave us a short tour and showed us some of the quirks that come along with staying in such a vintage building - such as a hot water switch outside of the bathroom - which was super interesting. Some of the bathroom sinks even had that historic two-faucet system! However, all of the shower systems were updated - good water pressure and temperature control. Updated toilets as well! Plus, we found the toothbrush holder very convenient. Mrs. Chan also let us choose between two rooms, since we had inquired in advance about a king size bed to accommodate my husband's height, which was very kind and thoughtful. The bed, pillows, and comforter were extremely comfortable. The room was also very clean!!! Most hotels are so unclean these days. I was VERY impressed with the cleanliness! The location was fantastic - a very short walk to the tram, Princes Street, and a convenience store. Close to restaurants, but not so close that we dealt with any city noise. It was rare that we ever heard passerbys, even on the ground floor. Whenever we needed assistance with the tram or finding a laundrette, she was very descriptive and provided us with coupons/deals. British Airways broke our briefcase luggage, and she not only provided us with super glue and strong tape, but also gave us one of her nice luggage straps to keep the briefcase closed. She didn't have to do that, and other hotels would not have cared at all, but her help ensured that our luggage lasted for another 3 international flights! My husband and I usually have yogurt, bananas, and OJ for breakfast, so the cold breakfast was perfect for us. However, I wish we had allotted some time to have the hot Scottish breakfast, because it looked great on others' plates! I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Edinburgh!

Room is spacious and clean. Host is very friendly and helpful.Breakfast is included. I slept very well. No complaint. The property is very close to the Haymarket train station. So the location is very convenient if you arrive and leave Edinburgh by train.
