The Palace Hotel

This has to be one of the most awful hotels I have visited . The room is dirty , the bathroom is disgusting , the window is not sound proof so we had the delight of listening to all the people stood outside the next door casino all night , the room absolutely stank of smoke , which other people also complained about so we know it wasn’t just our room. It is not even that cheap of a place to , there is a premier inn 5 mins away for the same price . Avoid this place like the plague

Room was disgusting, so grubby and twin beds despite requesting a double. Beds so uncomfortable, one pillow each. Total waste of money

Rude restaurant staff, very unprofessional noisey room. Hotel was shabby and run down certainly not worth the money.

Old but ok

Cons Dirty/old carpets ( really needs a change) Cobwebs at windows, made it difficult to go to window to watch CV Restaurant; I was made to wait 30+ and in the end they forgot my order. By the time they Tried to rectify I was tired of waiting. Pros It’s close to the pier; cafe; restaurants; amusement park The staff at the reception and housekeepers gave me good customer service.

Carpets were terrible

Lovely stay would recommend. It was an impromptu booking stay with kids. Great staff, view of seafront and adventure island. Only flaw for me was bathroom everything else was lovely. Would recommend... Hoping to plan another visit in Summer and will be looking to book our stay at this hotel for sure!

Well located hotel. Very comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. Reception team were very efficient and friendly. A great asset to the hotel.

Had a problem with the room to start which was quickly resolved and our room was swamped which the lovely receptionist were very helpful and gave me a choice of 3 different rooms. Very very helpful reception and hotel staff. Can I just say the reception smelt amazing. And can I ask what the machine was that gave the smell. Or maybe a picture of the machine if at all possible xx

Stayed here for the 3rd week in a row, the experience the 1st two weeks was generally better. There is not a daily room service, unless requested, which is OK, but requested twice for additional coffee, milk etc, and still were not provided with any. Service at breakfast was perhaps the only standout, although having the doors to the hall opened at exactly 07:00 is a bit annoying.
