Friendly helpful staff. Cheap price. Good location (once you've established the route to it!). Traditional Moroccan Riad which is authentic. Don't expect 5 star luxury! Helpful staff who do their best to help using Google Translate. We paid for bed & breakfast. It was good value and just 5 minutes walk away from the noise and hustle & bustle so nice and quiet. Clean towels daily and beds made nicely. Can padlock the door to the room to make secure. Fresh breads, pancakes croissants etc for breakfast plus unlimited coffee. I'm vegan so just had French stick and jam which was fine.

Hard to find it on arrival and quite a long walk as vehicles (except mopeds) cannot get to it. Very small rooftop pool which the water is not clear.... No front door key given for the Riad so need to ring the front door bell on return every time. Nothing major other than these small things which actually are not really problematic

"good location but not well maintained, get a room upstairs"

6.0

Location, breakfast view from roof top and staff were friendly

Room on ground floor next to main foyer and people eating or congregating, noisy at times. Toilet, TV and lights were not working or were broken. No key to get in to hotel so we had a curfew.

"It was a good experience staying at a riad."

7.0

Miriam was very friendly and helpful😊. Thank you! The Riad ambience was good. The proximity to the famous square and the souk is very good!

It was tough finding the property since it’s situated in the medina - despite using google maps. Just so many alleyways. Yet of course that is the charm of it all. To a first timer, the medina is a shock - looks like a veritable ghetto. However, in retrospect, the place is centuries old hence its run down look. Yet, here in its midst, lie several really smart riads, all hidden behind beautiful ornate wooden doors! It’s like an open sesame moment! The riad is small, compared to what the pictures suggest. A bit of a disappointment. The aircon in our room at Riad Lila was really old and did not work well; it was completely insufficient to deal with the heat, making a good night’s sleep impossible. Paying tax at the end of your stay is not a good idea. Please include this in the price advertised.
