Aracan Pyramids Hotel

I stayed at the Horizon Pyramids Hotel for three nights. I had just come back from a month in Abydos doing some research and needed a cheap hotel in Cairo before catching my flight home. I found that the Horizon hotel was pretty good for the price that I paid for it. The rooms were a tad run down and unclean, and I felt the need to wear flip flops in the shower, but other than that I felt that the rooms were very comfortable. My bed was just two single beds pushed together, which isn't a huge deal. The TV wasn't working very well and most of the channels were static-y. The only English shows that played were CSI: Miami, NCIS, Top Gear and WWE Raw, which would repeat throughout the day. The one channel that played English movies stopped working the second day I was there. The internet was a bit slow, but worked for my purposes. As with some of the other reviewers, make sure that you ask for a room facing away from the street if noise bothers you. The food at the hotel was great! They had some very delicious pastries at the breakfast buffet and the room service was excellent.

Bad staff, rooms are small & not very clean. Its not worth the money. I was pleased to check out the next day.

Very friendly staff.came to visit during rammadan. some prtotests at night but i still feel safe and secure.good decent and clean place if you are on a budget.the view from my balcony was breathtaking

Location is brilliant, close to pyramids, nice view balcony, staff very helpful, easy to get around from hotel, 24 hr man service and fast provided , clean, highly recommend

Dirty room carpet, shower not working right keeps mixing hot and cold water every 10 sec while I was taking shower, No parking on site, I had to park on the street, Food is really expensive and really nazty at this hotel, had dinner the food was old rice and chicken tasted like leftovers. Around the hotel way better and cheaper restaurants. Stayed for one night I was busy for my work, didn't bother to complain. Just wanted palce to sleep but won't go back again, one more thing, there is no difference between economy room and standard room I paid for standard which is more money but I was told all rooms are the same and the view only is different so I got room with street view and the noise form the street was horrible I was on the sixth floor under two pillows and the noise was really disturbing from the traffic. It did for one night of business. Thank God it wasn't my vacation.

I have never seen such a mess in one place ,,, bad receiption with a torn up chairs and sofas ,,, very bad rooms that look nothing like the photos , dirty from the outside and inside , veryhard uncomfortable beds and blankets , bad rooms flooring , very very very bad air conditioning that I had to complain about 10-15 times in my 20 days stay , even the warm water stream was unstable ,, miserable room furniture ,,, very noisy neighbor hood , I can hear the noise from the street all the time , very crowed streets around it ,,the worst room service and hotel in general I have ever seen ,,, its definitely not a 4 stars hotels ,, maybe it was 20 years ,, but now , its max 2 stars hotel

It was a lovely stay, food was great, hope to stay there again

When the hotel staff realise that the rate is not as per season price they put me in uncomfortable and small room and not clean as 4 star hotel
