A Casa Mia - Bed & Breakfast

This B&B could not have been more perfect! Its location is in the old town on the hill and it has spectacular views. Our hostess was charming and friendly and full of local knowledge, nothing was too much trouble. The B&B itself was spotless and had beautiful furnishings that matched the place it is situated in. It is perfect for couples as it has three double rooms, one with ensuite and the other two rooms share a bathroom, but dont let that put you off as it was in no way a detractor to the property. The breakfast was one of the best I have had anywhere. I cannot recommed this place more highly - a must stay for anyone wanting a proper Italian family run B&B experience.

This is how a guesthouse should be. Great location, great hospitality, excellent rooms. Perfect.

Hotel was very clean and everything seemed to be in good condition. Cristina was welcoming and helpful. I didn't find the hotel especially easy to locate and had to ask for directions in the street - pass the upper funicular station on your right and continue straight ahead. Once the road curves down to the right, ignore it and keep going upwards until you meet a T junction. Turn right and the hotel is first on the left. This is a good value place to stay; it is fairly central to Bergamo Alta and offers great views, with an excellent restaurant on the doorstep to boot. The only problem was a neighbour in a nearby flat playing loud euro pop one evening, but that is hardly the fault of the hotel. People with cars might also find the narrow streets very tricky to negotiate, but I would certainly re-book.

We had a really friendly welcome. Christina was really helpful and gave us lots of advice about local restaurants and local transport. The room was lovely with a great view from the balcony. The location is excellent for the old city which had lots to see and extremely close to the bus stop which will take you into the newer town, the railway station (with easy frequent access to Milan and elsewhere), or the airport.

We booked the room with private bath, although I was somewhat dismayed to learn after booking that the bathroom was down the corridor! However, we needn't have worried, as we only had to pass the kitchen which only Cristina used, so it was fine. The view from the room was fabulous and Cristina was the perfect host. We would love to return to Bergamo for longer than the one night we had and would definitely stay here again. Excellent value. Just one criticism was the very narrow (one-way) road outside which meant that we had to park tight up against the wall to allow traffic to pass. In manoeuvring the car, it did get scratched on the wall. Also, as we were in our own (UK) car, it meant my husband having to climb over to get out of the passenger seat to get out!

We stayed here in a double room with a private bathroom for one night at the end of April 2011. Christina, the owner, is really helpful, the room and bathroom were immaculate and the breakfast generous. Our room had a most fantastic view. It is a really good location in Bergamo, especially if travelling from the airport. Get on the number 1 and go to its terminus at Colle Alperto and it is a few minutes walk. It is an easy walk into the old city.

Very easy to locate and well positioned, we couldn't fault this B&B. Easy walk from the bus even with our heavy luggage. The owner was fantastic and helpful and offered us much information for sightseeing in the area which was valuable given our limited time. The room was very clean and breakfast generous. We would definately return and wish we could have stayed longer.

I spent a week working in Bergamo and booked this hotel without seeing it. It was wonderful. Christina was very helpful with everything, and the room was always very clean. Breakfast was good, and location is excellent.
