voco Winchester Hotel & Spa by IHG

The service was extremely good and helpful. Choice of food both for breakfast and evening meal. Rooms are very clean and well laid out.

Personally, i would like a little more milk. But thats just me.

We booked this as a special stay because it was a hotel and spa as advertised. We booked two nights and on the second night discovered we had to book into the spa rather than had access as a guest. This was never identified when we booked. We attempted to book on our return from a long day and we were told that it was fully booked. We are absolutely appalled as despite a computer says no response from receptionists who told us it was on the website, when we booked, it was absolutely not clear that this wasn’t a spa hotel because that is what is advertised on the booking and on their contact details when you google them. The hotel itself is a refurbished old building, pretty poor Quality and shabby and we certainly wouldn’t have booked this hotel if we hadn’t thought it was a spa. We will check IHD‘s details more clearly next time as this is clearly a way of persuading people to stay at what is really a very poor Qualityshabby hotel which doesn’t offer you access to a spa that it advertises as being available. What’s more? You have to pay for your own parking at £10 a night and pay £25 per night for a dog surprisingly the dog didn’t need an extra bed or the room to be cleaned every day.!
