Hotel Gibbs Downtown Riverwalk

Beds were very comfy and comfortable, the hotel is a very central location, you can walk to many places, and there are a lot of stores nearby. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast is very standard, and take into consideration that parking is not included, and since hotel is in downtown it can be a little expensive.

Great spot between riverwalk and other local shops. Walking distance was great

Beautiful renovated building with great rooms and perfect location. It doesnt have parking but 2 blocks you can park for 10.00 usd per day.

We were just there March 19th-22nd. This was a surprise trip for my husband's birthday, and unfortunately, the condition of the room and the overall experience fell far below expectations, we were so disappointed. Upon arrival, late about 1 am, I found the room to be unclean. The sheets had makeup stains, floors unvacuumed, bathroom dirty with something dripping down walls, and return air vents were all noticeably dirty,(blowing in our face all night) which made the stay uncomfortable from the start. Additionally, there was ongoing construction in and around the property that was not disclosed at the time of booking. This significantly impacted the atmosphere and quality of our stay. I waited until morning time to bring my concerns to the front desk, and I was met with more concerns and disappointment. Service now was also an issue. It took four separate requests to receive two fresh towels and an extra pillow. I ultimately had to become more assertive just to have these basic needs met, which should not be necessary at any hotel. Finally the late afternoon front desk attendant was the most helpful, and fetched me 2 towels, and a pillow from the back room, and left it for me with the night attendant, for me to pick up after we had returned, and carry it to my room myself. Furthermore, although the morning front desk asked if I would like the room cleaned and I agreed, (after 2 requests) the service provided was inadequate. The floors were still not vacuumed, and the bathroom walls were not cleaned. Maintenance however did come to the room to get the vents, and that was half at best. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.
