Sunrise Crystal Bay Resort -Grand Select

Beautiful resort with very nice pools and a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel itself looks luxurious and the overall design is impressive. The room was spacious and the air conditioning issue was eventually fixed.

Unfortunately the service quality did not match the standard expected from a resort in this price range. We requested an extra balcony chair for 4 guests and it never arrived. The refrigerator in the room did not work during the stay and the room telephone was never repaired despite reporting it. Service was inconsistent throughout the stay. Staff at the terrace near reception ignored guests for a long time while talking among themselves, and dinner service was frustrating as simple requests like cold water with ice repeatedly arrived wrong. Another disappointment was the “sea view”. The hotel is built around a lagoon/bay rather than direct open sea access, so the actual sea is far away and part of the view was blocked by another building, which felt somewhat misleading.

Das Hotel war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das gesamte Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer bemüht, den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Besonders gefallen haben mir die schöne Poolanlage, der direkte Zugang zum Strand sowie das abwechslungsreiche und leckere Essen. Die Zimmer waren komfortabel und wurden täglich gründlich gereinigt. Insgesamt herrschte eine sehr entspannte und angenehme Atmosphäre.

La comida y las instalaciones son perfectas. En recepción, nos atendió Ahmed y estoy muy contento con su servicio y ayuda. Es el mejor y lo recomendamos mucho.

Está hecho 100 % para alemanes, si eres árabe o de otra nacionalidad se nota en el servicio, un ejemplo sería que a la hora de pedir en los restaurantes aunque llegues primero, si llegan alemanes les van a servir a ellos primero

Amazing experience overall with fantastic hospitality. The service is unlike any other place we have stayed at the past 15 years. Thanks Mr Mina and team for making us feel so welcome and for all the great support.

The only recommendation I could think of would be in the food section. The variety is fine and some restaurants such as the bbq restaurant stand out however in others it could use a quality update or refinement in general. Refinement in the menu and in the quality of cooking. It’s also in the care and the details. When serving a side salad for Instance and veggies are dryed out without dressing and with too big chopped red onions that does not match the concept and overall positioning of this resort. This is just an example, but we had many of these. Furthermore the wine selection for us was a disappointment (local wine only). It would have been great if we could have had a nice/good quality glass of wine paired with food.

Uns hat das Hotel von Anfang an überzeugt. Service super, gut durchdacht. Es ist für jeden etwas dabei, ob man Unterhaltung mag oder lieber seine Ruhe. Essen war auch gut. Die gesamte Anlage sehr gepflegt.

Ganz kleiner Kritikpunkt, Kaffee hat mir persönlich gar nicht geschmeckt. Zum Frühstück leider nur Filterkaffee.

In summary a very nice resort with great food, friendly and helpfull staff and a great location right next to the see. For everyone that books through Booking there is a designated contactperson, Manar, at the hotel that helps you with everything need. Manar was trully a great help during our stay. The food was amazing, we really enjoyed both the buffets and à la carte menus in the evening. There are sections next to the pool and sea that are for adults only, which is nice to rest. The pool and sea are both very nice to swimm in.

Regarding the Spa we've had better massage experiences, one of the massagists talked way too much and also the massage itself could have been better. This can probably be avoided by clearly stating you expectations beforehand.
