Splash Beach Resort, Mai Khao, Phuket

Well located family style resort close to Phuket International Airport. Has onsite meals and bars, and is also a short walk to local shops eateries, supermarkets money exchanges etc. Despite the website saying there is a hotel shuttle and onsite laundry facilities - this is not correct. Organise a local tact from the taxi booth located outside arrivals hall - 600thb and if you get drivers details he will pick you up following day for 500thb. I returned to airport to Meet a friend flying in from Australia then had transfers to Khao Lak. Great local Thai eateries down the street and a laundry next to supermarket where wash dry and fold for 180thb. Room includes buffet breakfast onsite. Would definitely consider using this as a night Lob again so can get maximum value of the resort stays given flights from Australia arrive so late. PS water park is closed for a few months for renovations.

It’s so beautiful resort. But I think they need some improvements. Stuff are good but not enough. Services mostly slowly. When you need something you have to request 2 times. Also the try to charge you for anything or any reason. Foe example my kids eat in my room and they drop some food on towel the house keeping charge me 375 bat. And they warned me if the kids do any thing inside the room they will charge me. When I go to pool and i want some beach towels they took from me my room keys and they will not return the key until I return the towels. They treat the customers as they are bad people. The resort so stingy. But still i like the resort in general and i will back again.

워터파크때문에 이호텔로 예약한건데 공사중인걸 미리 확인을 못해 워터파크 이용을 못해 너무 아쉬웠어요 그리고 객실은 매우 노후되어 객실 또한 리모델링이 시급합니다 보기도 손님을 너무 몰아서 태워가고 빙빙 돌아서 오히려 걸어가는게 빠를지도….

It was near the airport and we didn’t hear any planes flying by, very quiet. We also saw the resort while on our plan taking-off. Outside the resort seemed to be a lot of restaurant but we didn’t spend enough time to walk around to enjoy them. While I was there the water park was closed. The front desk said they should be open in October and it actually looked fun, as a 39 year old I would go. Breakfast was delicious, staff was wonderful, resort was clean, they had a shuttle running continuously, I actually enjoyed my stay. Well done Splash Beach resort, well done!

I’ve room atmosphere

I was disappointed that the hotels waterpark was closed and I didn’t find out until a day before my check in. And they offered nothing to accommodate that huge disappointment.It’s the whole reason I booked there. The drivers were very nice. But customer service as a whole was not very good. The pool and the resort was beautiful. I think if the water park were open it would have been ok. We were def not a fan of the food there

This place barely qualifies as a resort—it was more of a disappointment than a getaway. The splash park, which was the main reason we booked our stay, was closed without any prior notice. The food was poor in both quality and variety, and the entire property felt tired and run-down. There were virtually no activities on offer, leaving us with little to do. Overall, it was a frustrating experience that didn’t live up to expectations.

I am a kid and I am telling you this place ruined my whole entire life. Okay maybe not my whole life but definitely my holiday and that is basically the same thing. We came to Phuket Splash Jungle Resort because of the waterpark. The big slides. The fun. The excitement. The reason ANYONE goes here. And then SURPRISE the waterpark was CLOSED. Not a little closed. Not fixing something. Just completely shut. The workers just acted like it was totally normal. So they gave us 2400 baht for four people to spend on the day we arrived. Which sounds pretty good until you remember we got there late and had like five minutes to spend it. And they gave us four tiny drinks that were the size of a fingernail and we could not even choose what they were. They just handed us sad little cups like that would fix anything. It did not. Check-in took one thousand years. There were angry parents everywhere. Kids melting down. Staff looking like they wanted to disappear. We just stood there while chaos exploded all around us. Nobody had been told the park was closed. Everyone was mad. Including me. Especially me. Then we went to check out the pools. If you can even call them that. There was one old crusty pool that looked like it had not been cleaned since the dinosaurs. And another pool that was basically the size of a bathtub. A small one. And the lifeguards were just sitting there scrolling on their phones like they were on a break from caring about safety. They were not even looking at the water, in fact facing a different direction. I could have done a backflip and they would not have noticed. Not that I know how to do a backflip but still. We also tried to do beach soccer because it was listed as an activity. But surprise again. It does not exist. We asked the staff and they handed us a ball that was so hard it could break your foot. It was like kicking a coconut. And they expected us to play barefoot. I bruised my toes and foot so much and I’m quite annoyed because I actually value my toes so no thank you. The food was worse than school lunch. And I like school lunch. They forgot my meal completely. My whole family got theirs and finished eating while I just sat there like a sad little potato 🥔 . When it finally came one hour later it was cold and gross and they even forgot the bacon. How do you forget bacon. Bacon is the best part. You could not even eat outside the restaurant which made no sense. You are in Thailand. It is beautiful. And they want you to sit inside like you are at a boring airport food court. No thanks people! The rooms were okay. Big and kind of nice. But that is not why we came here. We came for the waterpark and the fun and there was NONE of that. Also the buggy thing. We were the first ones to call it and the first ones waiting and then a bunch of people just pushed in front of us and got on and the staff just stood there and watched like it was totally normal. We had to wait for another one while everyone else drove off into the distance like it was a race and we were the losers that lost. Everything about this place made me want to scream into a pillow. I would not go back here if they paid me. DO NOT come here. Unless you want to spend your holiday bored and annoyed and watching other people complain while holding a sad tiny drink and wondering what went wrong.

There was a power outage twice at night at the hotel and when we tried calling the reception .. they phone lines were all dead .. pretty disappointing

We enjoyed our stay a lot but learning that the park will close for renovatiobs during our stay was very inconvenient. Apart from that I would recommend it for parents that like a great gateaway with their kids
