Splash Beach Resort, Mai Khao, Phuket

Meh.. old out dated. Kinda rude at check in.

The property is very nice. Lots of family oriented things to do. Great pools, beautiful beach, and terrific rooms. A great place to stay in Phuket!

I gave a 3 stars rating is due to the house keeping didn’t clean the room and replenish the towels as I requested more than one time. The pillows are smelly, I requested for replacement but it was not done. We got extras sheets and put it on top of the pillows.

Disappointment from the first moment. No attention from the staff. No help with the luggage. But there are so many available staff at the front desk. The behaviour towards us was unpleasant. Probably because Etihad airlines arrange the state. We felt unwanted here. No effort to help , no information given. Made us uncomfortable at the dinner . Hopefully tomorrow it will be better. Though only half day.

We stayed in February 2025 and enjoyed our stay immensely. The water park is a bit run down but our child had a great time at it. The airplane viewing point was also very cool. We were there for three days which was enough time for us. The food was OK but we preferred to eat just off resort in the few local restaurants that surrounded the area. Overall it was a great location.

We arrived and from start to finish it was a total disaster. We paid $573 AU for 2 nights plus $ 30 up grade to a room that had a balcony . Aircon 2 hours for staff to fix . Fridge water all through bottom of fridge and flooding on to floor. Bath tub that I could not get into 600 mls high and the lip was so wide it was had to get over for my taller husband. Shower was a hand held because the bracket was put to high the water shoot over your head and you had to hold it shower. The toilet water ran in to the night and we could not stop it The extra $30 AU was for a balcony it over looking a dump rubbish tip. Stains on doona, which looked like urine Shower curtain disgusting, We complained the next morning and they moved us to nicer room with kitchen, walk in shower. Shower had mould and was just poorly cleaned. No tea towel for kitchen. Broken stool

Kids had great time. Next time will apply sunscreen morning and afternoon because stayed outside alllll day

Great beach and facilities, Should have free bus to airport

This is a massive resort. It’s a little bit older and tired but still in good conditions. The breakfast is really good but gets busy. There are two swimming pools and has a bonus of being adjacent to the waterpark. tickets to the waterpark usually cost AU$50 are included in the accommodation. The beach is actually really nice. The water is super clear and no waves. There are some pine trees on the beach which serve as a good shade and the big swimming pool is right there. The downside is that on the surrounding areas there is no much. there is a few restaurants and Massage parlours but that’s about it. NOTE: an important note is that it feels like you are in Russia. The place is pretty much 90% Russian guests and because of the cultural differences is really hard to communicate with them and socialise. STAFF: I must add that the staff is amazing very attentive and helpful.

Location is a bit remote, don't expect any decent nightlife. Rooms were fine but housekeeping was poor. Pool area was fine but get there for 9am or before if you want a bed. Getting around resort is good as there are buggies to take you to different areas. Water park very good . Breakfast was a disaster, complete chaos. If you want to get what you actually want to eat and then get a table be there at 7 or before. Rules not enforced about eating and drinking around pool area. One rule for non Baltic state residencents and one for others. Its a great place to pick up a few words in Russian..
