Hotel Balcón de Europa

Lovely staff, efficiently run. Location is great.

The beaches close by are very small and very busy (June). Hard to find a space without feeling like you are encroaching on someone else’s space if you arrive late morning. The hotel pool is also small, very cold and sunbeds are crammed in like sardines around it. The town, which is nice, is rammed with Brits. (I’m one, but I try to get away from them when I’m on holiday).

Excellent hotel in a beautiful location

Lovely hotel in a perfect location. We stayed half board which we prefer but unfortunately next year 2027 it will be B&B only but there are plenty of good restaurants in Nerja if you like to go out every evening.

Absolutely stunning location. The first line for the sea, the most central part of the city. It is rare chance to be super close to water from your balcony. The staff works very hard constantly cleaning walls, floors and everything to keep the a bit dated bulding clean.

The main cons for me was the "half-board package". It doesn't make sense at all. The dinner menu and food quality are mediocre. Don't spoil your expirience with spanish food, eating there. It's much better to stay here, but enjoy the great restaurants in the city.
