Susafa

The food was incredible. The staff were extremely helpful and very attentive. The property and its surrounds are stunning.

Rooms were quite dark and not particularly modern but good for price paid. Uncomfortable pillows and mosquitoes in room.

This is a unique location off the beaten track where you can really relax and recharge. Golden fields as far as you can see, nature sounds and silence, history and tradition combined with sleek modern design, minimalism and warmth. The breakfast was one of the best I ever had! Excellent massage, and we are picky… Will definitely go back!

The pool and quietness

The pool area was very beautiful with stunning views, but unfortunately, our stay didn’t meet our expectations. We had high hopes for Susafa, but they weren’t fulfilled. Being high in the mountains, it was really cold and windy. While the staff was kind, no one served drinks or snacks at the pool. You had to go to the lunch area for service, which wasn’t great either. It felt very isolated, and for the price we paid, the rooms were extremely small with no mini-fridge or TV. There was also a weird smell every time we entered. Overall, I felt like we didn’t get the value for what we paid. This hotel needs some improvements, especially to satisfy their paying customers.

Breakfast was exceptional - probably the best I've had anywhere. A 'make your own smoothie' station was a highlight as well as the 'eggs your way' chef. The cold cuts and cheeses were all locally sourced and of the highest quality and the different salads were super fresh and clean. The granola bar featured many varieties, plus extra nuts, seeds, jams, and spreads to maximise your breakfast experience! Dinner was also delicious although perhaps a little limited in terms of choice (if you are staying more than a few nights). Again high quality ingredients and a nice mix of traditional an modern styles and flavours. Manfreddi was always on hand to have a chat and recommend a nice wine from their extensive cellar.

No views from the dining room, although it was April. Not sure if it's different in summer. Not too keen on glass bathroom wall!

We had an amazing stay, had great expectations as we had heard great things about the estate but they were exceeded. Breakfast was fantastic. The place is beautiful and very relaxing, we enjoyed the pool area the most. Overall all the staff was pleasant and professional. A special thanks to Luis who made us feel at home.
