From the grounds to the staff to the room to the food, everything was spectacular. It even included a complimentary pasta making course! An absolute gem. It was a magical one-night stay…we only wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely go back next time we are in Sicily.

The showers weren’t very hot. It took ages for the shower to warm up but never made it to hot. The restaurant was not as good as I was expecting unfortunately

The location (not for novice or nervous drivers) and the very lovely waiting and reception staff… Amazingly beautiful buildings. Won’t say so much for ambience created by interior decor. The views 110%

The owners who made it feel like their home mad not a hotel … all the family there which is fine but they didn’t connect with guests at all and basically it felt as though guests were an intrusion…. Really got impression staff were daunted by him. In the bar he made the girl on the bar look incompetent in front of guests. Most uncomfortable. Also didn’t like how the restaurant manager spoke to his young female staff. Rude and nothing less than a bully, you do not reprimand staff in front of guests. Breakfast was ok. No menus for drinks. So you just guessed at what they offered. Extortionate prices for anything cooked. Juicer for fresh juice. But only veg and simple fruits such as apples. No citrus juices. Not refreshing?? Sliced fruits to have with yoghurt etc … only melon, no good if allergic. No choices. Flavoured waters… sat there for days on end. Not enticing. The cell like rooms. Dark and very very basic. Lack of fridge. Tiniest of bathrooms. No privacy whatsoever in room with the most minimal of curtaining which didn’t stop people from seeing in as the literally walked past the doors and windows. I get minimalism but these literally felt like convent cells. Right down to the artwork! I get it’s Sicily and highly catholic in faith but this all just felt so so oppressive… We left a night early. Stayed in many top notch places in Sicily…. This could be one under a different owner.

We absolutely loved the place and the scenery. Everything was carefully and tastefully made. Service was incredible, we truly felt at home. The swimming pool was absolutely stunning. When it comes to food, breakfast was top notch, only made of home grown/local ingredients. Dinner was fantastic as well with delicate dishes.

The room decoration was a bit disappointing - when we saw the place and all the different area (which are beautiful), we expected a bit more from the rooms.
