Stattons Boutique Hotel & Restaurant

The hotel has various separate buildings that are served by a central restaurant. The restaurant was lovely and light and the food very good. The staff were all really helpful, kind and welcoming. I found the first room I was allocated a bit dark so they immediately swapped it.

Nice room but no air cond and room was a bit damp. Nice towl warmer but didn’t work… unless there was another switch somewhere else in the main room that was supposed to connect to it… there was no way to know what switch went to it because there was no switchclose to the towel warmer.

Good location and good room size

There's no lift in the building, and extra parking cost is high

Ich kann das Hotel leider nicht empfehlen. Schon beim Eingang wird man darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass man die CheckIn Information nicht richtig gelesen hat (die per Mail verschickt wird), und sich die Rezeption in einer anderen Straße befindet (siehe Foto). Ich verstehe nicht, wieso man dann nicht die auf Booking.com angegebene Adresse einfach ändert. Auch die Rezeptionistin war eher unfreundlich. Sie sagte, bei fragen kann man jederzeit mit dem Zimmertelefon anrufen, dass es nicht gibt. Ich habe ein dunkles Zimmer im Keller im Nebengebäude bekommen, dass extrem kalt und dunkel war und in dem das Wlan teilweise nicht funktioniert hat. Die Tapete war auch furchtbar (Bilder anbei), das Hotelzimmer schaut überhaupt nicht wie auf den Bildern aus. Die Lage ist sehr abgelegen, es fahren zumindest regelmäßige Busse in das Stadtzentrum. Ich war in einer heißen Woche im August dort, das Hotelzimmer war trotzdem dermaßen kalt, dass ich befürchte, dass es an kälteren Tagen kaum auszuhalten ist (Heizung ist ausgeschalten).
