We stayed at several Belmond properties during our Peru trip, and Rio Sagrado was the standout. From the peaceful riverside setting to the exceptional staff, this stay felt both luxurious and personal in every way. They arranged our private transfers, a day exploring Pisac and Ollantaytambo with one of our favorite guides (Joseph), and a special cycle and hike to Maras via a quiet back route—far from the crowds. Our main contact, Maribel, was wonderful to work with and made everything feel seamless. Other thoughtful touches: a private movie night with our requested film, dinner, and Chandon Rosé; a deeply relaxing Andean massage followed by essential oil gifts; and a beautiful farewell gift—handwoven luggage tags embroidered with our names. Every detail—our room, the food, the spa, the staff—was excellent. Truly the most memorable hotel experience of our entire trip.

This is an incredible hotel. The rooms are gorgeous and the property is amazing, We took long walks along the river, fed the baby alpacas, visited the spa, and slept peacefully each night. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel to enjoy quiet and nature, this is the best in the Sacred Valley. Dani and Domingo in the restaurant made each meal a memorable experience, with delicious food and special treats each meal. The entire staff takes wonderful care of each guest!

Had a wonderful lunch that was as tranquil and beautiful by the river. The food was delicious. We had the ceviche, such confit, and crispy pork. All were tastefully presented. Our waiter Edson was very attentive, warm, engaging, and gave excellent guidance through the menu. The feeding of the alpacas was also special. Giving many photographic moments with the gentle animals.

The warmth of the greeting: "Welcome to your Home", the care from all the staff (particular thanks to Sabrina for her exceptional professionalism and service), the divine pillows and oh so comfortable bed, the glorious surroundings. And finally, the incredible food so exquisitely served. The Belmond Hotel in The Sacred Valley provides the perfect environment with unsurpassed hospitality. It is a true delight to stay here.

Belmond Rio Sagrado is a truly special place. The setting is spectacular — a lush garden full of beautiful plants and flowers, right by the river, with stunning views and complete peace. It feels like a hidden sanctuary, and the presence of six friendly alpacas you can feed just adds to the charm. Our room was beautiful, with great views and a thoughtful layout. Everything we needed was there, including a complimentary minibar (except alcohol), and the design felt relaxed but elegant. It was a little cold at first, but the staff fixed that right away — they were quick, kind, and efficient. Dinner at El Huerto was fantastic — a modern take on Peruvian cuisine with ingredients straight from their garden, which you can actually tour. The creativity in the kitchen really impressed us. The cocktails were also excellent, especially their house creation with whiskey and tangerine juice — one of the best we had on our trip. Breakfast was another highlight. There were lots of fresh, healthy options, and the pastries and bread were truly outstanding — the pain au chocolat could easily rival those in France. The spa was beautifully set up and the treatment I received was excellent — very professional and relaxing. Definitely worth it. But what really made the stay unforgettable was the staff. Everyone we met was kind, warm, and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Special thanks to Edmon and Sabrina at El Huerto, who made every meal feel like a welcome-home experience, and to Javier and the gardener (whose name I sadly can’t spell), who gave us a wonderful garden tour in the morning. Housekeeping was also excellent — the room was always spotless. Every single person had such a lovely and personable energy. It’s rare to see a team where everyone is so genuinely caring. The only thing I would suggest is the addition of a small gym or quiet space for stretching — that’s the one thing we missed. Still, this is one of those places you don’t forget. A peaceful, beautiful hotel in an extraordinary setting — made even better by the people who run it.

The grounds and amenities were beautiful z the river and the mountain view was really relaxing. Our room was disappointingly small, but the bathroom and the patio were excellent. We really enjoyed the restaurant and the little extra touches provided made our visit special!

If you are looking for peace and quiet and to be well looked after, Rio Sagrado is the ideal place for you. The room is super cozy, with an excellent bathroom and bed. All the staff are super attentive!
