When booking more than 5 rooms, different policies and additional supplements may apply. Based on local tax laws, Peruvian citizens (and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Peru) must pay an additional fee of 18%. To be exempt from this 18% additional fee (IVA), a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. Please note both documents are required for fee exemption. Guests who are not able to present both documents will be required to pay the fee. The tax is applied per room when the room is shared by a taxable and a nontaxable guest. Foreign business travelers who require a printed invoice, will also be charged the additional 18% regardless of the length of their stay in Peru. This fee is not automatically calculated in the total costs for the reservation. In accordance with the new provisions in force as of April 17, 2021 (DS No. 005-2021-MINCETUR)For the entry of minors accompanied by one or both parents, it is mandatory to carry the passport or identity card of the minor. It is also a requirement to present at the hotel, the birth certificate or birth certificate; as well as passport or identity card of the accompanying parent, as appropriate. According to Peruvian law (Law No. 28194), cash is not accepted for payments from PEN 2,000.00 or USD 500.00. These currencies must be settled by credit card or other methods approved by the hotel and Peruvian Law. Payments cannot be split between currencies. A deposit may be required at the property.

"The perfect stay on the way to Machu Picchu"

We stayed for two nights at Belmond Rio Sagrado. The Rio Sagrado Valley is breathtaking, and Belmond property is gorgeous, right next to Urubamba river. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We did two different hikes with Maribel, who told us a lot about the region and its people. I highly recommend the cooking class and feeding the llamas! We took the Hiram Bingham train to Machu Picchu; the train departs from the hotel, which was very convenient. We very highly recommend Belmond Rio Sagrado. Truly a wonderful experience!

"Trip to the sacred valley"

The property was gorgeous. The staff were amazing. Food and service were excellent. Accommodations were great. It was a great place to spend 3 days. One of my favorite parts was taking a bike trip with Maribel. She was exemplary as were several of restaurant staff

"Amazing Belmond Rio Sagrado Hotel 5* plus"

Absolutely outstanding Rio Sagrado Hotel and service. The staff were all so friendly and polite. Such a beautiful place to relax and unwind. Set in beautiful grounds surrounded by the sacred valley, alpacas and scenery. Perfect place to stay to get the Hiram Bingham train for Machu Pichu. Definitely recommend this hotel . Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Totally spoilt here. Spa treatments were lovely . We did the picnic experience-total feast on local produce. Recommend staying here to do the Belmond Hiram Bingham train .

"Incredible experience"

The hotel and surrounding views are incredibly beautiful. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The food is delicious. Belmond takes care of so many fine details that make the stay very special. Wish we had spent more time here and I would highly recommend visiting.

From the first hello to the final goodbye, the staff in always there to make sure you have everything you want. A very personal experience such that at meals we were always greeted by name and aware of any dietary modifications that we had requested.

"Best Spot in Urubamba"

A little oasis in the Sacred Valley. Close enough to take a car to Pisac (highly recommend having the hotel set you up with a driver...Edgar drove us around. The car was clean and the conversation, while only in Spanish, was helpful). If you can swing it, take the train to Machu Picchu. The hotel had everything we needed. Rooms were great, food was exceptional and the property was so tranquil that we almost stayed longer.

Absolutely amazing property and the loveliest staff/people. Baby alpacas, river, spa, pool, room, shower, balcony. 15/10. So incredibly peaceful. Bonus that the luxury train to Machu Picchu is right there as well.
