Rio Sagrado, A Belmond Hotel, Sacred Valley

Our stay at Rio Sagrado was outstanding. The landscaping is very beautiful with the view and sound of the river providing a tranquil backdrop. The most impressive part of the experience was the service however, Dany, Eddy, Maribel and Danae were just a few of the names but everyone welcomed us with a smile and excellent customer service with every interaction.

Amazing hotel! From check-in to check-out, entire experience was above expectations. Property was beautiful, suite with private patio with lawn was surrounded by flowering bushes. Restaurant was great, excursion was fun, sitting by the river was romantic.

What can i say abut this hotel and the staff. Unbelievable!! I can't speak high enough about our time here. Food, staff, the grounds simply first class. And the alpaca feeding at 8am in the grounds was wonderful. Javier, the manager (as we found out during our stay) was excellent. It felt like we were speaking to an old friend. He had so much time for us, and most importantly, it felt so genuine. Please, if you visit Cusco, you must stay at this hotel!!

Stunning location with the most wonderfully special and genuine staff. Fab food and high standards of facilities and cleanliness. Lovely local produce available at the location too. Would happy be happy to revisit anytime as a couple or with the family.

We had an amazing time at Rio Sagrado on our way to Machu Picchu. The hotel is set on the picturesque Urubamba river. We enjoyed a lovely Peruvian barbecue lunch by the river one afternoon and our daughters loved feeding the lama's each day!

Warm and well-being experience with a well trained staff, but also with a human touch and humoristisk sense. Everybody extremely helpfull and considerate.

Such a beautiful property, the Rio Sagrado was a highlight of our visit. Distinctively located along a rushing and vibrant river, we were welcomed, escorted to our lovely private and expansive villa for our family of five and felt like we were in a luxurious home away from home. The restaurant offered deliciously prepared and beautiful dishes for all meals and a mix of variety to cater to different palates. Whether you're strolling the property or participating in their daily alpaca feeding in the morning, there is a spa and other services to relax, pamper and enjoy.

There are not enough words to describe our incredible stay at the Rio Sagrada. The hotel & grounds are absolutely stunning and very well taken care of. The sound of the rushing river is a special backdrop to this beautiful property. The rooms are clean, spacious & cozy and the housekeeping staff does an incredible job of taking care of you and paying attention to all the little details. Speaking of little details- everyone on staff can not do enough for you. From the transportation, to the check-in, to the restaurant, to the spa. Every employee greats you by name and with a warm smile...always eager to serve & take care of you. Danny, Edson, Eddie & Julio were our stand-outs. We can't thank them enough for their attention to every detail and friendly conversation. Julio had luggage tags for us upon our departure- with a special one for our child. Such a thoughtful gift to end a memorable stay. The hotel experience at the Rio Sagrada was so special & so outstanding it will be a hard bar for any other hotel to reach. Staying at this hotel will be the best decision you make while traveling to Peru!

You can’t see the hotel or grounds until you are inside their gate. It was absolutely beautiful! Everything is distinctly Peruvian, but also luxurious. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a staff member who blew a conch horn as a signal we had arrived. That was just the beginning of the warmth we received from all the staff throughout our stay. The food in the restaurant was very good. The landscaped grounds are gorgeous.They have a daily “feed the bay llama” activity which was a lot of fun and a great photo op. If you get the opportunity,stay here! You won’t be disappointed.

There aren't enough compliments for this amazing hotel! We had the best stay, gorgeous grounds, excellent staff and experience from check in to check out. The service is unrivaled, we felt so taken care of by Jose, Edson, Dany, Domingo & Rocio- these folks treated us like family and paid incredible attention to detail. The Spa was fantastic and we cannot wait to return soon!
