Beautiful property. Amazing views. Loved the warm pool. Fantastic food! Staff was gracious and very helpful.

I bring my gal's golf group - one or two foursomes - regularly to the Valley and we love to stay at WMH because 1) the accommodations are great - updated, clean and comfy. Nice beds and linens, too. The golf course is well kept and was in great condition. Regulation 9 holes with some nice views - fun round. The bar/tavern is comfortable/nice ambience and great view from that semi-circular dining room. Food is fabulous every time. Both the hotel and dining/bar staff are attentive and capable. The packages are a nice offering and good value. The pool area is always clean and tidy and the firepit is the cherry on top. Add to all that, the prices are reasonable. We love this place!

A truly lovely place and experience. Everything was JUST RIGHT: civil but not stuffy; tastefully decorated and furnished; nothing gaudy or shabby; total staff was friendly but not fawning;the food was delicious, every item done perfectly. All in all, a very well managed, mature and confident setting with fine, fresh facilities making for a calm relaxing time.

My wife & I booked a room June 6th & 7th 2026 expecting a mid-luxury level re-coop from our Arizona to Maine & New Hampshire travel. On arrival on the 6th we noted gathering for a wedding, all well & good we thought. What we did not expect was that we would be subjected to a loud rowdy evening. White Mountain had booked us a first floor room in the hall beside the reception venue. From 4 pm - 9 pm ( the prime relaxation hours of that evenings stay) our room was blasted with loud music, shouting laughter, the walls of our room shook and vibrated and thumped & thumped & thumped for 5 hours. I went to the front desk ans asked how long it would last after a couple hours & was told 9pm, I asked to be moved to a quite part of the hotel & was told nothing was available, front desk guy had nothing to offer. So we suffered. In the morning I got an AI generated text asking how my stay was going and if I needed anything. I told "it" what had so far occurred. Of course "it" said it would get back to me, but did not. Just the usual computer generated "customer service" that tries to pretend to seduce you into thinking somebody cares. They did not. The wedding planner & GM should know their property & book only wedding party guests to that corridor during receptions with loud thumping vibrating booming music. In fact possibly require that the party book that hall. The next night went quietly as their was no Sunday wedding. However we felt robbed of our expectations with no restitution.

Location is great - just a short drive to main street, shopping and restaurants. Staff was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, there is a pantry with tea/water/coffee and ice. Mother's Day brunch was excellent!

Our 2nd year back w/ family to visit Story Land for weekend. Everything was perfect. Staff are amazing, Ledges Restaurant was fabulous and delicious w/ stunning views. Our hats off to Mike who plays the piano beautifully during dinner. He was splendid last year too! The rooms were clean and comfy. Best shower ever. We’ll be back!!
