Borgo Pantano

We arrived after midnight due to late flights, I had told the hotel we would be late and they offered to put some food in the room for us, the meal was fantastic! The staff were always willing and keen to help, nothing was to much trouble. The hotel and its grounds were tastefully decorated, and the pool was terrific! The food in the restaurant was tasty and great value Overall our stay was perfect. Would we stay there again, you bet we will!

Best hotel we stayed at in sicily. Wonderful facilities with beautiful grounds. This was very much like a resort and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We were given a choice of rooms - chose one with a mezzanine bedroom. Lovely pool area, very helpful staff, and great breakfast! Slightly off the beaten track, but well worth it.

Booked a Comfort room. When arrived shown a triple room on 2 floors with narrow internal staircase to bathroom - did not want this, so shown another room on one floor (still being cleaned). Tired and hungry, so said this would be ok. After a nights sleep - asked at reception to change room, as the room seemed very small and we thought we had a classic (basic) room. Informed that this was the right room and no other rooms were available. Very little space around the bed and a built in wardrobe with a curtain instead of a door. Poor lighting in bathroom, especially for make-up application. The photos are very misleading and must have been taken with a wide-eye lense. The bed was comfortable and room was clean. Pool area very pleasant, but pool freezing cold. Breakfast was good, but not impressed with lunch or dinner. Location hard to find and not convenient if you wish to tour this part of Sicily. Lots of new/unfinished roundabouts and junctions which just cause confusion. Roads full of potholes/fly tipping/prostitutes waiting near roundabouts! Sat Nav instructions contradict the road signs. If you want to go to a hotel and stay by the pool for a few days then this hotel is fine. If you want to tour/eat out then I would suggest you look elsewhere.

Beautiful, romantic, breakfast was the best we had in Sicily -- we would go back in a heartbeat.

What a fantastic hidden treasure. It's got all the charm of a rustic retreat with all the luxury of a 5 star spa hotel. The team just can't do enough to ensure you feel welcome and have a wonderful stay. The food was delicious, we both had fantastic massages and spent hours relaxing by the beautiful pool. Before we left we inquired about hotels near Palermo for 3 days down the line and the staff (who all speak fantastic English and encourage you to practice your Italian) went out of their way checking the Internet and calling hotels to ensure we ended our Sicilian stay in the same style we started it. I will go back again and again - Thank you for a wonderful time Borgo Pantano!

The hotel was lovely. Great pool area and sun loungers including four poster beds. The staff were very helpful and friendly too. One tip, don't follow your sat navigation to the hotel as it will take you the wrong way. Get directions from website or direct from hotel. Restuarant is very nice, and only place to eat really unless you drive into Siracusa.

Hotel was very clean. Staff were very patient and helpful, particularly Noémie and others at the reception desk. Buffet breakfast was good, although not quite as good as those offered by several other hotels we stayed at in Sicily. Amenities were very good, particularly the pool and grounds, but location was a bit remote and inconvenient and our room the first night so small that there was hardly space for a chair and we requested (and were granted) a room change.

Beautiful spa hotel, fantastic pool and surrounding area for families and weddings.Orange trees in full bloom, filled the air with their perfume. Too far from anything to walk so take the shuttle for 5E rt. Save driving in traffic, no parking spots, no chance of a ticket...worth every euro. Breakfast was excellent, more than any one could ask for including omelletes on request. Diner was hit or miss on what we liked, service was spotty. Hotel on the other hand was quick and responsive to any request, very helpful. Beds were firm but comfortable memory foam, lines crisp and nice, flat pillows, ask for extra. Rooms were very clean, some rather small, comfort rooms worth the extra euros.

A wonderful hotel located 20 minutes outside Syracuse (Siracusa) in agricultural area. Hotel is styled in manner of a Sicilian walled farm, surrounded by olive and fruit tree groves. Great pool complex, comfortably sized rooms and all amenities. Our only regret is that we only planned to stay one night. Very good restaurant, very friendly and helpful staff. Can't say enough about this hotel. And the city of Syracuse was a pleasant surprise as well, particularly Ortygia area.
