Delightful place to stay. Clean, quiet and delicious cookies, cake and breakfast.

Excellent breakfast and good service. En suite very small but adequate. Would return there again if in the Lakes.

We were greeted with a really warm welcome and were given the choice of 3 rooms available. We choose Room 5. Bed was really comfy. Well laid out room. Homemade biscuits with tea & coffee was a nice touch. Breakfast and service was excellent. Great location as 10-15 minute walk either way to Bowness or Windermere. Homemade cakes in hallway/ reception were delicious (especially the lemon drizzle). Lots of sweets as well. One and only gripe was that the bathroom was small but it was well appointed and immaculately clean, you don't spend much time in there anyway. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back if in that area again.

Fantastic hotel, its not just the place itself but the people running it. This is my third time at Glenville and all I can say is that the hospitality and warmth is amazing. He just makes Lake District not just stunning but a welcoming place to unwind, rest and relax. Spacious rooms, lovely cookies and cake that is on the house. The breakfast is awesome. Parking is free. Location is fantastic, short walk to the town centre. Just like a second home to me.

Perfect location, 1/2 way between Bowness & Windermere. Friendly Hosts, great breakfast, lovely warm and cosy room with lovely extras like homemade biscuits. Our 2nd stay and we are already planning our return

Just a lovely place with lovely staff. I've always stayed in hotels and never done a B&B. It's fair to say I was reticent about booking, especially as it was for our anniversary but it did not disappoint. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and recommend it. The location is really convenient too.

I don’t even know where to start praising the owner of the guest house, the cleanliness of our room and the entire house, the generous and super delicious breakfast. Everything was amazing! This was my first time staying in a guest house, simply because I am a clean freak and I’ve always thought that only 5 star hotels can deliver the level of cleanliness that would satisfy my needs. How wrong I was. Glenville House was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Our only regret is that we stayed only 2 nights. Way too short. Thank you so much for the awesome experience!

Was there for Great North Swim and havent stayed over but this place was fab and service was superb!

Lovely B&B, very comfortable and clean. Lots of nice little extra touches in the room. Great breakfast and friendly and attentive hosts.

Clean, comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful hosts, off-street parking, great breakfasts. No hesitation in recommending.
