Glenville House

Glenville house was absolutely lovely and I have already recommended this B&B to others. We arrived early however our room was ready and we were able to check in. Pete was a wonderful host and provided us with lots of information about the surrounding area. The B&B is situated just in-between Windermere village and Windermere-Bowness village so there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops within a short walking distance. Our room was absolutely spotless and I loved the homely touches such as fresh flowers, fresh milk in the fridge and home-made biscuits next to the tea and coffee. I would highly recommend staying here if visiting Windermere.

We went for my wife's birthday and were warmly welcomed by Pete. The room was very comfortable, with the usual facilities but too my wife's delight was an ironing board. Breakfast was excellent and certainly a "Lake District". On the Saturday when we returned a card and box of chocolates was waiting for Sheila. I cannot recommend this guesthouse highly enough. Will definitely be staying there again

A beautiful and traditional guest house with easy access to all attractions. We were made to feel extremely welcome by the owners and lots of recomendations given about the area, things to do, places to eat etc... The breakfast was first class and lots of little extras in the room giving a real home from home feel. Would definitely return here on my next visit to the Lakes

Beautiful old home. All the extra details such as welcome tray, biscuits, spirits, cake in afternoon ready to help yourself. Superb breakfast served at your table, no paper napkins here ! Very hospitable hosts made you feel very welcome.

We stayed just one night but were delighted with the welcome, room upgrade, comfort and food. One to remember for next visit.

Wonderful stay, the owners are generous and wonderful people. The room is spacious. The surrounding is quite and pleasant. The lake shore is only 15 minutes walk.

Very welcoming staff. Tea & biscuits served on arrival. Plentiful breakfast with everything you could want. Room spotless with nice view. A little cosy but comfortable bed & modern bathroom. Very enjoyable stay!
