OYO The Bentleys Hotel

Warm welcome and nice clean room with a decent shower which is always a bonus. Use of a microwave which is great when you’re working away. Walking distance to the centre. Decent breakfast thrown in. Can’t fault it for the price

In my honest opinion: The hotel itself is great for when you dont want to walk or travel far to the city centre of Newcastle etc its good whether for business who travels or for leisure for short stay weekends or special occassion visits. I have a positive and a negative feedback about the stay; Positive - the rooms were nice and clean it was just basic enough if you are there just for a short stay and as much as im very wary and concerned about shared shower/bathrooms etc they were surprisingly really nice and clean as well which it made me feel more comfortable like it was my own personal bathroom - massive thumbs up to that. As much as a cant complain about the room it was ridiculously too hot but it was that time of the year we had a big heat wave and we were on the top floor. May have to require air condition to prevent the disturbing heat. Negative - Only thing that had really disappointed me throughout the stay was when we arrived and checked in and the man explained the opening times for breakfast and said it was 7am-9am Monday to Friday and Sat & Sun 9am-11am which he gave us the incorrect information when checked in on Saturday and when arriving for breakfast on Sunday at 10:30am we couldnt have breakfast which we paid for and advised incorrect information which was HIGHLY INCONVENIENT. Made it more worse when the blonde lady didnt even apologise about it as well, had to waste more money going for breakfast elsewhere had to travel 5 miles went to Mcdonalds insted

we stayed for 3 nights, it was a good base for getting to and from town, around £3.50 for a taxi. Staff were pleasant, and the English breakfast was good, we would stay here again

Nice hotel cheap and cheerful. Breakfast was freshly cooked

The most noisy place we have ever stayed!! People in above flat walked around all night & road noise was constant. Felt although staff/owners were pleasant, they only answered what was asked of them & really didn’t go out of their way to be welcoming.

We stayed here for one night after a concert. The Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the city centre. Rooms were clean. Staff kind & helpful. Breakfast was lovely.

The firat room we where given smelt terribly of sewage so we had to move. The room was ridiculously hot with no air con or fan just 1 window that when you open sounded like you where in time square. The shower was leaking everywhere when you use it. we did tell hotel staff all of this but they did nothing. not happy with the stay

Yes enjoyed stay everything ok but took two payments out of my account waiting to see if I get one back
