OYO The Bentleys Hotel

Very friendly staff on arrival and smooth check in process. Room would be a bit small for 3 people so fortunate there was only 2 of us that could make it. Room could do with air conditioning as was only 1 window so room was roasting due to the heatwave. Shower bit small and not very powerful but did the job. Beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very tidy. Overall would recommend this but if bringing 3 people you may be tight for space and storage.

I booked this place as looked ok in photos and reviews were ok, I did not realise it was not en-suite and the booking with Expedia does not make it clear either. The man greeting us on arrival was unfriendly and went through the motions. Breakfast was pleasant, if you like a late breakfast- here is not the place. Room was cramped but clean. No gel or shampoo provided, bars of soap in room.The worst part of the stay was the road (Westgate Road) in which it is based, it is very scruffy,it is a very steep walk uphill from city centre, there are buses though. The local Council and businesses need to tidy the area up as it is a real blot on the landscape.

Good Hotel. Get what you pay for. Rooms and shared bathrooms nice and clean. Decent sized rooms worth the money you pay. Breakfast could be better.

I dropped my hen party of 20 at Jury's Inn & due to cancellation of weekend bookings was able to stay Friday to Sunday. Looked for a good value single room with on-Road parking for a midi-coach: Bentleys looked to be a good option. Parking was easy. All the facilities were to a good standard although I waslucky to have loads of Freeby soap & shower gels from past hotel stays. In fact, with an Asda right behind open 'till 11, nothing was a problem. WiFi worked well: plenty of power points in study bedroom style familiar to students. Separate shower & toilet facilities were excellent for a budget hotel. Breakfast was basic but good in a nice coffee shop. More vegetarian choice would have been appreciated though. Needed to pay in to Lloyds bank Saturday, so decided to walk in to town which despite the snow, was easy & pleasant. Whilst in town I explored the City. Cathedral had a lovely rood screen untouched by Cromwell 's army! Was temporary home for street sleepers😉. The Castle Museum was fascinating & took up a good couple of hours. The Grainger Market was great & had so many diverse eateries including great cheese & a Turkish café with veggie food at last! Waverley Road also has plenty of Asian food stores & eateries 👍. The kitchen facilities on my landing were great for self-catering keeping costs to a minimum! 😉 I'll be back

Only a sink in the room, no shower or toilet. Toilet was on the floor below.

Great location if you’re going into town. Staff were lovely and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Was welcomed to the hotel by a friendly and pleasant chap who showed me to my room and where everything was. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice. Altogether a brief but enjoyable stay, will definitely stay here again if I have business in the area again. A big thumbs up from me! :)
