Book somewhere else. Certainly not a luxury boutique hotel. At hotel's suggestion we upgraded to a suite, and it was a dump. I have no idea what a basic room would be like. Booked 4 nights left after 1 night. Staff had no idea what "Happy Hour" is; only full price cocktails are offered and there is no sunset view as the surrounding buildings block sunset. Surrounding neighborhood is quite seedy and wasn't sure if we should walk at night. "Included breakfasi" is only some fruit and a small basket of bread. An order of eggs is very expensive at 75,000 pesos while a full breakfast in Medallin is from 8,000 to 10,000 pesos

The staff was very attentive and helpful. They accommodated our request to switch rooms from a lofted bedroom to one with bathroom and bedroom on the same floor. Very lgtbq friendly. Rooftop and pool were lovely!

They need more credit card machines... Esp on the roof so a person doesn't need to be summoned to accept credit card payment. The courtyard plays music until 1am... If that ended earlier it would feel completely like a sanctuary inside Cartagena.
