The Tangerine - a Burbank Hotel

We spent three nights at The Tangerine while visiting Universal Studios, and it was the perfect "chill" base. The Good: Vibe: It has a very cool, laid-back boutique motel feel. It’s tucked away from the typical LA rush, which we really appreciated after long days at the park. Comfort: The bed was incredibly comfortable! Service: Exceptional staff. They were so thoughtful they even "tucked in" my son’s stuffed capybara during room service—a small detail that made us smile. Breakfast: We loved the free pastries in the morning (from Homeboy Bakery!). It’s a great way to start the day. Things to Note: The Room: The rooms are a bit small and feel a little outdated. The AC unit was quite noisy, so keep that in mind if you're a light sleeper. Universal Access: It’s only about 2 miles from Universal Studios. A Lyft or Uber was roughly $10 each way, which was very convenient. Food Tip: You MUST try Jinya Ramen Bar right next door. It’s fantastic!

Excellent service and amenities for a quick weekend getaway. Went to see Warner Brothers studio, which was very close and easy to get to from here. Ate next-door at the local tasty Mexican restaurant which Amber at the front desk at tangerine gave me a 20% discount coupon for. Very helpful staff, clean bed , good mattress, was upstairs quiet location, rental car parked out back seemed fine. There are stairs for upstairs no elevator. Coffee machine in office and free filtered water.

My family stayed there for 7 days. It was a great experience. Location of the hotel is perfect. My kids loved the pool. So many great places eat that are within walking distance. The staff was awesome.

This place is clean, easy to find, affordable and the location is awesome!

The space was clean and the staff was super friendly. Big shout out to Michael, the Night Manager, who went above and beyond to welcome each guest and be a friendly face for us early risers. The coffee machine in the lobby is also a hug bonus - so yummy.

The front desk and reception area were very clean and welcoming. In the morning there are fresh pastries to choose from. Luckily I didn’t have a car because the parking lot only accommodates 4 cars. Upon entering the room there was a strange odor…almost like a strong deodorizer but I didn’t see anything. I even tried shutting off the air while I was out of the room all day thinking it was that. That didn’t help. The room itself was clean, but wallpaper was peeling at every seem, and bathroom looked relatively new. The bed was very comfortable and came with multiple pillows. Black out shades worked well. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Great choice! Location, vibe and cleanliness is awesome. Quiet at night, parking is easy. Staff is top notch, they took care of us and were friendly and helpful. We were there during a heat wave so our room was on the warm side, but overall loved our stay. Bakery treats from Homeboy Industries were amazing!
