Hotel & Residence Calais Car Ferry

This is by far the grottiest hotel we have ever stayed in. The price was outrageous for the standard offered. We are well used to French budget hotels e.g. B&B, Premiere Classe, Kyriad etc. This comes nowhere near their standard. It has the appearance, both internally and externally, of a hostel for the homeless. The location, although handy for the ferry terminal, is rather depressing and the car park is not secure. The twin room we booked was tiny, in need of a serious makeover and had a total lack of soundproofing. If you have a car it would be better to stay on the outskirts of Calais e.g. Coquelles and put up with the short extra drive to the terminal.

No wi-fi , smell tobacco everywhere, not clean, noise, tv not working ......

Very reasonable Hotel close to everything we needed. Staff were helpful. Would stay again.

Very much a basic motel but more than adequately serves its purpose as a place to rest prior to an early channel crossing.

Excellent location

Arrived late at night when reception was closed but automatic self check in at entry was easy to use and we were in our room within 3 minutes. Room was basic but clean which was all we needed on our one night stopover to the Dordogne. We had breakfast before leaving which was good value.

stayed 1 night after long drive from Riviera so suited me just fine

A bed for the night as we headed into the south of France, we weren't there for long. It was reasonable enough for the price paid and the self check in is an added bonus when arriving very late at night.

Ideal for our requirements as need ferry in the morning. As we can't guarantee arrival time, the check in process is easy to use, which reduces stress on journey.
