Paradise Isle Beach Resort

We (family of 3 adults) stayed for 2 nights in a non-sea facing room. Hotel location is superb, right on malpe beach. In fact, sea facing rooms and the 1st floor restaurant (Ocean View) have fantastic Arabian sea views. You just have to walk 20-30 metres from the hotel gates to be at Malpe beach. Auto stand is nearby, making connections with Udupi City, very very easy. The hotel has 3 inhouse restaurants and you can get multcuisine fare such as seafood, north indian, south indian, Chinese, alcoholic/non alcoholic beverages etc. We loved the food, particularly the seafood at Ocean view restaurant. Breakfast buffet is good. Room amenities include a refrigerator and good quality AC. The hotel staff are punctual, polite, sincere, service hospitality oriented, eager to please and responsive. The hotel has a good swimming pool, spa as well as indoor games such as badminton, table tennis, carrom, snooker etc. The supreme "malpe beach" location, the numerous recreation amenities, the ample restaurant food options and the hospitality orientation made us feel like we enjoyed 4 star type service while paying an affordable 3 star type tariff. We would recommend this resort hotel to anyone who wants to visit Udupi with a leisure orientation.

It's a horrible place. Looks nice on the outside but very shabby inside. The moment you enter u can see the mismanagement in the property . The front door has a missing handle, the glass doors are dirty. The swimming pool area smells of pee. The food is bad. Not enough lights in the room. Dirty bed linens. No window openings. A lot of power cut throughout the day. Although it comes back within minutes but those minutes are difficult to manage. And if you are in the bathroom it gets just impossible. It's pitch dark in the bathroom if no lights

Breakfast was pretty good - mix of Indian and more western options (usually kid friendly like "chicken nuggets") and varied from day to day. The place is right on the beach and overlooks the main section of beach that people swim at and gather around. All of the food options and street stalls also sort of centre around the fringes of the property too.

The property is looking a bit tired, but not too bad. They also didn't seem to have any credit card facilities that could cope with an international credit card - fortunately I had cash, or I'm not sure what they would have done (they were quite happy to let me stay while we tried to figure it out - which was great).

The location of this resort superv bang on malpe beach. You can view sea from your room. Nice staff and food is also delicious. But the property is old need immediate overhaul. Rooms are spacious but furniture is old bathroom fitting do not work properly. Management should think about it

We stayed at the hotel booking 2 rooms. One was Deluxe sea view, another was std Double bed room(non-sea facing). The stay experience was very pleasant. Likes: 1. Best Location in Malpe 2. Service/Staff behavior 3. Cleanliness 4. Food quality Some of the improvement areas as follows: 1. Furniture & fittings need revival 2. Food is overpriced in the in-house restaurant 3. Hotel rooms are prices based on 2 persons, not based on size. This can be re-priced based on accommodation capacity

A curate’s egg, good in parts & not-so-good in parts, Paradise Isle has its positives - warm front desk staff members, spacious rooms & a superb location (right on Malpe beach). However, the rooms have a fairly old look and need refurbishment. Also, the restaurant starts breakfast late (8 am) and just couldn’t handle a simple request (tea & bread) an hour earlier (7 am). On balance, the pros outweigh the cons & I recommend the place for a night’s stay in Malpe.

The only plus point is opposite to beach, nice view. The hotel staff is polite and quick service but small rooms. Less space in dining hall, very poor taste food. Not many food varieties, not hot. Hotel need to improve food taste and dining space
