The owner Gino was very friendly and helpful during our stay with advice on getting around and where to go. The view of Nice is excellent. I would for sure recommend you stay here.

Great little place on the side of a mountain with amazing views. I would recommend but if you go, take a taxi with your luggage, as walking up a hill for 20 mins was not fun. Hosts were lovely and the room had almost everything we wanted (no balcony :( )

Spectacular views and superb customer service. The lady at the reception desk gave us wonderful guidance on the sights to see. One of our favorite stops on our trip. Highly recommend this hotel.

Description of rooms is misleading and not all have their own terrace as advertised which we found out during our stay. Street parking is very limited, so you have to drive around the local neighbourhood looking fkf spaces. Centre of Nice is only reachable by taxi or 30 mins by foot, so not at all central. No internet during our stay and receptionist made no efforts to accommodate or find a solution, even going on as far as to argue about this in front of my family, not at all professional. Breakfast charged at €8 EUR per person was way overpriced for a single croissant, small toast and bread bun with jam/butter, orange juice from a carton and coffee. Much better off going to town and having a full breakfast at a local cafe for the €24 EUR that it cost for 3 of us. Views are very good, but the thin plastic door and false ceiling with tiles could be improved upon, felt like sleeping in an office. Would suggest visitors to look elsewhere for a real Nice experience.

Very nice. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, we had to make some last minute changes and they worked it out for us. Location was great most units seemed to have a view even ours on the lowest level could overlook the city. You should have a car and be able to handle some stairs. Our unit was clean and well kept. Overall a very nice stay.

The view from the hotel was truly spectacular. The breakfast was outstanding also -- for a small extra charge they provided an American-style breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon. The terrace provided for my room was really nice. The room itself was small but well appointed and comfortable. I had to lug my bag down and up a number of stair steps.

The owners are absolutely fantastic, so welcoming and always helpful. Views from this place are brilliant. Room has a lot of character. Only a couple of downsides, not allowed to eat food in room which can be a problem if restaurant is closed for the evening and there is nowhere local to go out and eat. You can eat outside, obviously not ideal if poor weather etc. Rooms on reception floor are incredibly loud first thing in the morning so don't expect a lie in. Considering this place is a 2*, it was a lot better overall than many 4* places I have stayed. I would certainly recommend.

Nice, but fairly basic rooms. We had the Superior Quadruple Room. It seemed to be the lowest down the hill/building. The reception is basically at the top, so we had the most steps to the room, plus the view was blocked by plants around the patio. It was still nice and we had a good view out one of the room windows, but we had hoped to enjoy the view while having dinner (pizza) on the terrace/patio. So if you plan to sit outside and enjoy the view, get I would probably recommend the Family Room. Breakfast was very good, staff were friendly, and the room was clean. Note that reception closes at 2PM on SUNDAYS, so you'll have to arrange to get the code that gives you entry to the property (gate and building). Also, there is free street parking on "red" pavement about a block down the road (down hill).

Gino and Valerie are onsite and incredibly gracious and English speaking hosts. This is a unique facility on top of a hill overlooking all of nice with a "Panoramic" view - no exaggeration. You would pay for the view that comes with your room. Breakfast is homemade and includes ham, bacon, a fried egg, coffee, juice, toast, cheese, & yogurt or fruit and is served in a lunchroom with that incredible view. Bathroom facilities are typical and adequate. The bedroom is typically small but comfortable and larger than the 2* hotel rooms like Ibis Budget, etc. Parking is available for free on the boulevard in front of the hotel. DO NOT PULL INTO THE DEAD END STREET by the hotel front door - stop on the road just alongside. Trust me it is a mistake that is hard to recover from. A bus stops in front of the hotel and runs into downtown Nice and connects with other runs. The Chagall Museum is a 12 minute drive and should not be missed. Parking is tough but doable by the museum. Parking is tough everywhere in this area but is doable with persistence. Monaco is a nice 45 minute ride east. Villefranche du mer is a nice 22 minute ride up and down the mountain to the sea and is very worthwhile. A supermarket is about a 7 minute drive. This is more like a B&B than a hotel and, given the reasonable pricing, free parking, good location, tasty breakfast, very adequate wifi and gracious hosts, it's a great base for exploring the Nice area if you have a car.
