Good size room (no.15) off the garden. Two double beds, good size shower room and separate toilet. TV but no English channels. Nice shady eating out area in the hotel garden. Hotel restaurant very good. Friendly & helpful staff. Only complaint was our room got very warm in the night and there is no electric fan.

Warm and friendly place to stay. Owners particularly helpful. 10 minute walk to city centre. Parking can be difficult but during our stay there was always parking outside the hotel. A draw back for some might be the absence of a lift to first and second floors.

We stayed in this hotel for a recent wedding. The hotel is less than five minutes walk from the railway station, and only ten minutes walk across the bridges from the gorgeous centre of Amboise. The hotel was a traditional, small, family-run hotel with very friendly staff. Excellent value for money.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite us arriving dripping wet, and the restaurant served excellent food which was fantastic value.

Perfect location for visiting Chateaus in the Loire Valley. Comfortable hotel and staff very friendly and helpful.

The photos do not do this hotel justice. Our room was very clean, great size and very comfortable after a long day sightseeing.The only possible little complaint is dragging your luggage up the 2 flights of stairs. Staff were excellent, we had diner i the garden which was perfect. Not sure how children would go. But couples a must. Enjoyed our stay here.

Great location and super friendly staff! Their staff was exceptional and you feel like a part of their family when you're there! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Chose this hotel because close to train station. But you must walk a few miles to get to the main hub of attractions. If you are on a tight budget this hotel is ok. It was clean, but needs some upkeep.

This is a great small inn with charm and updated convieniences. The staff are plesant and helpful. The rooms are extremly clean and comfortable with nicely done updates and attention paid to details to help a weary traveler rest. We were too busy to take time to enjoy the breakfast or dinner offerings, however from what I observed they would have been great traditional French fare. With our schedule we had to eat on the run and there is a great pastery shop just down the street less than a three minute walk. We would have loved to be able to spend more time at this pleasant property. If we have the opportunity to go back, we will definitely plan to stay at this hotel.

We stayed at La Breche for 5 days during our trip to the Loire Valley. We were tremendously impressed with the level of service offered there. The minute we walked through the door we were made to feel like home. Madame and Monsieur were extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Our French was very limited and they were key in helping us rent a car, bike, hiring a taxi, etc etc etc. The location of the hotel was excellent, it was a block from the train station and a short walk across the bridge (~10 minutes) to the heart of Amboise. We think that they are currently remodeling their rooms. The room that we stayed in was a little bit older but it was very clean and met our needs. We would definitely recommend this quaint hotel in Amboise.
