Hostal Gala

Staff are very friendly and helpful. This is a basic Hostal but clean and well maintained and in a good location. Easy to miss the front door as it is located within an apartment block. Showers might need some explanation as they can be a bit complicated - simple instructions in the room would help. It can be noisy because of the bars on the street corner so usually best to stay in a room overlooking Plaza de Sto Domingo if possible. Very good value for money.

No es apropiado para personas con discapacidad de caminar, las escaleras 15 escalones con equipaje son horribles, no está prevista la ayuda al llegar con maletas y desconocimiento del lugar, fue difícil no encontraba la luz y estaba bien oscuro, con maletas,por poco viro y me voy. Por lo demás fue bueno.

Good place, good location

Muy buena ubicacion, el proceso del check in bastante rapido y facil, a razon de calidad precio, se obtuvo por lo que se pago, un lugar para pasar uno o dos dias y para conocer la ciudad.

Very nice hostal in a very good location. Seeing it in real life does give you a different impression from the pictures

A friend of mine and I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. - When we arrived there was no one at the reception desk, a tourist opened the door for us. - One towel had a black stain on it. Same for a part of the sheets. - There was a lot of street noise during the night. - When we got back to grab our luggage before leaving, we rang the door five times. The receptionist was present... To be honest, avoid if you can. You can find the same prices but a better service.

Great location and spacious room. Poor Sound isolation between rooms.

Reasonable rates for Madrid. Helpful staff.
