Residence Inn Bridgewater Branchburg

I'm a Marriott Bonvoy Platimum member with 54 nights in Marriott hotels this year. I stayed twice at this hotel this year, the most recent stay being two nights in December. First the positives: the property is generally clean and the breakfast is decent and well-stocked for a Residence Inn. That's where the positives stop. This property has a serious issue with lack of hot water. We had lukewarm water in the showers the first morning, and only cold water the second morning. On complaining the front desk staff will not acknowledge the issue even though it seems like it is widely reported by multiple travellers in the reveiws. Instead the staff argued with me about how there was no issue with hot water in my room. Its really absurd to argue with a guest about this because its the guest staying in the room and not the staff. And the staff is basically insuinating that the guest is either lying or complaining for no reason. I booked a two bedroom suite which had three phones in the suite. NONE of the phones worked. The issue was reported the first day but never rectified. Response from the front desk was that "I had someone take a look at it"! The phones apparently are decoration pieces. Not a big issue because we all have cellphones, but an inconvenience nevertheless if you need to contact the front desk. And emblematic of the generally slipshod attitude of the management. Of the two front desk staff we interacted with, one (Brandy) was friendly and nice. While the second person (morning shift) was downright rude and surly and the interactions reported above were with her.

No hot water and homeless people are living in some of the rooms. My husband used the restroom by the lobby and there was a homeless man rinsing out bottles in the sink and washing up. We are checking out now and I will report this to management! I did not feel safe walking in corridors by myself. Definitely will not return!

From the moment I walked in to the moment I left the staff were incredibly courteous, warm, and very accommodating. The rooms and hallways are pristine. I thought that the accommodations throughout the room were wonderful. From the set up of the furniture to the small touches such as wine, glasses, and salt and pepper shakers. Incredibly homey and nice. There were places to plug your phone into, and the seating areas were perfect. Everything worked except for the hot water in the shower. But I believe that is something that the hotel was working on as they needed a part for the water heater. The breakfast was delicious and hot. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend. It was also quite affordable in my opinion.

The Residents Inn was excellent! The service and room were above average. The front desk staff were very helpful.

While I only had a night to stay here, I could have stayed a week in this room. These are the types of hotels I love when I travel. Clean, spacious room, very comfortable bed and pillows, quiet, free breakfast, indoor pool, gym, easy free parking, safe neighborhood and restaurants/stores close, reasonable prices, towels very good quality and clean and they have soap bars! I would stay here again. Only things I did not like: --The free breakfast was "Okay" but would have been great if they had Hard Boiled Eggs and higher quality yogurt. They did have oatmeal. Since Covid, it's hard to find a free great breakfast anymore at a hotel. --Got back at 2 AM and the shower only had very hot water! I ran it for 10 minutes and still only HOT-burning HOT! What the problem was is that a new control arm was installed and they they did not test the temperature. I temporarily fixed it by turning the water off and then applying max pressure to the control arm while turning it on so that it would grip the cold control. The shower was now a bit only on the just warm side--not hot but good for one shower--I survived. I would have to change rooms if I was staying another night. --Staff at the front desk is not the friendliness, but they get the job done. --No hook or high towel bar to hang up my toiletries bag in the bathroom--I had to hang it in the closet. Wish there were more hooks for efficiency. Overall, I would recommend a stay here--just turn the shower on when you get in the room to make sure it works on your temperature. These days everyone is hiring a "Sunday Charlie" to fix things instead of a licensed plumber.

So far so good. Here for the week.Entrance area and breakfast area little on the Chilly side but it is very cold outside.No one should blame the working staff which I heard some were doing.Its the Holiday season, be nice people!!🎅

No complaints. Front desk was very friendly. Room was very clean and spacious. Close to restaurants.

No one told us that we should requere the room cleaning service ant our room wasn't cleaned
