Residence Inn Bridgewater Branchburg

Quick romantic getaway. This place was PERFECT.

Everything well organized.

I was on my way to the post office in Califon headed toward Long Valley when a cloud of toxic white smoke rose up ahead of me. The cars ahead of me kept on forward, but I stopped, and looked to see how to turn around. There were no driveways to turn in and cars were coming behind me and toward me from the opposite direction, so I did a three point turn in the road and went back the other way. The cloud of smoke grew thickly around me as I progressed away from Long Valley. Rather than go around a different way to my post office box, I went to my motel. Well, first I went to a different motel further down route 22 and changed my clothes. Then I went back to the Residence Inn which was across from the North Branch Post Office where I had a PO Box in 2018-2019. I don't know the boundaries there, but the Residence Inn is in Bridgewater Branchburg. I brought down some clothes and my sewing machine which I had planned to fix so I could work on some sewing projects. I haven't had a chance to do it. I thought I would stay the night, and go get my mail and some clothes for my mother from my house, but I went downstairs to print something at the computer. When I was done printing, I brought the sewing machine to the car. Well, the order in which I did things might not be remembered exactly. I heard people in the lobby talking about me and things I said to my mom and things I said to my boyfriend. One guy was laughing about the idea that New Jersey was going to be flooded.

No hot water. On full hot setting the water was lukewarm at best. I was freezing at the end of my shower. Looking at other reviews this appears to have been a problem for months. Incredibly noisy sound insulation between floors is non existent. The guests above our room were stomping on the floor as late as 2am and as early as 6am. If the pictures were not glued to the walls they would all have come down. No house keeping. Rooms are very dated and had to call for service as our TV did not work. The out door firepit area is so noisy from HVAC units I could not even stand to sit out there. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Staff was very friendly

The breakfast was just ok but there was not alot of variety and had to go get my son breakfast elsewhere due to allergies. Not as clean as I hoped. Handle On microwave broken and shower head had mold. No hot water in either bathroom of a 2 bdrm suite. Had to give my kids cold showers. Disappointed and not worth what I paid. There were no ice machines because all of the rooms had refrigerators with ice makers but the entire night ours made 20 pcs of ice and I had to go to the front desk twice for ice for the cooler for the baby’s milk

It was hot in the hallways and dining room

Very clean. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nice areas to walk the dogs. Overall a great experience.
