Albanuova Hotel

Large comfortable room (another chair would have helped) -- alround good value. Only negative was that the reception gave us bad restaurant advice. Unfortunately the hotel is not near the archaeological museum, Reggio's main attraction (about 15 mins walk).

Arrived after midnight because of our flight but the hotel had arranged an airport taxi at €25 ( Ryanair wanted €65!).such a relief. .staff were still available for check in at 1am. Room has big bed,good bathroom,safe and fridge with free water. Breakfast was good with normal continental content plus meat ,cheese and cooked eggs. 3 mins walk to train station.

Very minor....only 1 pillow which was a bit flat.

We needed a hotel for one night after train ride from Ravenna to Bologna where we changed onto the high-speed FrecciaRossa for the 9 hour ride from Bologna to Reggio do Calabria. In fact the problem was worse than we expected because trains from Ravenna to Bologna were cancelled (Deleted in TrenItalia English) so we were on later trains and didn't arrive until nearly midnight. But the hotel was very welcoming, the bed was comfortable and we slept well, the breakfast was satisfactory and it all worked well. Can't tell you much more about it but for that one night it was great and not expensive.

Breakfast is very, very basic

The room was spacious and comfortable for three people. While the breakfast was limited in options, the quality was good. The hotel's location was excellent, situated not far from the main street.
