Iris Hotel & Spa

The hotel receptionist lady is so unfriendly yet she is the face of the hotel. We asked for Wifi passwords and they didn't work. We all had to go to reception for assistance and I tell you it was like we were asking for her soul. Terrible customer service. Then suppertime came, the restaurant team didn't have a table for us and they straight out told us to find our own place to sit. The hotel has great views and located next to a deer farm but you will not know unless you take a walk yourself. If you are a foreigner or not from Turkey please do not stay in this hotel. It will leave you with a horrible experience of the place.

I was allocated room 210 which the bed was comfortable but again a leaking shower I am beginning to think that plumbers in Turkey are no good LOL.Hotel is pretty nice and one can see recent renovations it is again the location .Yes one can sit on the terrace and watch the sun set but the beach is not a beach that I would sit upon I am not a beach person anyway but the location of this hotel is so far from anything that one is left to walking done in an afternoon ,reading or drinking on the terrace. Again limited toiletries no tissues and the shower water just does not drain. Tea making facilities again cater to the coffee drinker rather than tea. Hair dryer,tv and ac. Again refrigerator in room does not work. Plenty of power points. My only complaint about this hotel was again the reception staff a female who when I approached I was ignored but 3 male travelers where checked in and yet I was still ignored when I was acknowledged I was dismissed without rectification of problem. Another incident can I use printer No it does not work later that evening ask a male receptionist not a problem The problem is with the female reception staff do they not realize without us they do not have a job and therefore no wages? Again very little understanding of English. Because of the date of arrival we were welcomed with a plate of ANZAC biscuits but only one and then the plate vanished. Dinner and breakfast plentiful but repetitive There is a cornerstore 10 minutes walk and if you walk 20 - 30 minutes there are eateries and a supermarket as well as a fresh bread shop Canakkale is a summer house destination for a lot of Turkish people to have holidays and as they leave the dogs and cats so many strays to fend for them selves until the holiday makers return next summer So sad to see and to me so very wrong on so many levels. Opposite the hotel there where deer a rabbit and I did hear a donkey kept dont know why? There is a park poorly maintained maybe summer this is all tidied up ?

Really beautiful spot! Gorgeous balcony with views over the pool and the peninsula, backs straight onto the beach. The staff are super helpful and friendly, the village has the basics of snacks and supermarket stuff. Would recommend highly!

Shower was good. Pool looked good but too early in the season to check.

Room was small and in need of an upgrade. Breakfast was fairly tasteless ("juice extra!"). Location: nothing around the hotel. Poor value for money.

Hotel is in a very secluded place.It has its own beach and sunset and sunrise are amazing.Breakfast and Dinner are good.Staff are very helpful.More for relaxation and there are no shops around or market nearby.Shower is small and no coffee offered in room.

Hotel is in very peaceful place. No market near it. Having it's own beach. Rooms are very small & basic. Breakfast & Dinner was good. Come here if you are in relaxing mood on beach otherwise very lonely feeling.
