"Not a 5 star and not great value for the money"

We chose this hotel due to necessity, since our reservation in khao lak was cancelled. Overall it was a pleasant stay, but it could have been better. Pros: the view over the bay, the buggy service (the villas are located on a hill), the cleanliness. We had a problem with a clogged drain and it was solved the following day. The free canoes at the beach were a nice bonus. Cons: breakfast was limited and unsatisfactory, pastry was a bit old, no mango for breakfast, the egg station was a joke, taking as long as an hour to get one (only one person to prepare a la carte egg dishes when you have a full hotel is simply bad management). Also, we had a serious problem with towels, since we had a full set only at checkin. After that, we got only one bath towel and one face towel per room, no hand towels for the rest of our stay, even after making a complaint. We went to the spa to have a shower at checkout, even there there were no towels. Also, the spa was way too expensive for thailand. The furniture in the room is outdated and needs some repairs. We had a broken socket, the exterior door was blocked in the open position and we could barely sleep because of the wind howling. The main pool is small and there are not enough lounges, one of the pools in the villas area was not working. The beach is small, there are about 10 lounges on the left side. The restaurants in the hotel are quite expensive, but the food was good in the EEST. Though we had a way better experience at the only restaurant on the street, the Green Bar (5min on foot), where the prices were half and the servings way better (they even have live music at 19.30). There was another hotel with a restaurant nearby, Tide hotel, but we didn't try it. Keep in mind that the hotel is quite isolated and all the piers for the boat trips are located about an hour away. For phuket you could order a taxi from the hotel (700 baht) or get an uber for a lower rate. The nearest mall in phuket was about 20-30min away by car. To sum up, since we happened to be there during the chinese new year and the hotel was full, we chose to have a boat trip every day because there was not much to do in the hotel and you had to guard your lounge in case you got one, because other tourists were just taking it if you were in the pool or having a snack (it was written everywhere that personal belongings would be taken from unattended lounges after 30min)...

"Mixed feelings"

We have mixed feelings about our stay at The Westin Siray Bay. On one hand, the service was excellent. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and professional, and they genuinely made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The setting itself is beautiful, with stunning views over the bay, a peaceful atmosphere, a lovely private beach, and a very pleasant infinity pool that was a highlight of our time there. Unfortunately, the physical condition of the hotel was disappointing, especially given the expectations associated with the Westin brand. The property feels weathered and tired, with buildings that look like they have not seen a lick of paint in years. Our room showed clear signs of neglect: several bathroom tiles were broken, the sink was cracked, and the balcony was dirty and scruffy—to the point that we chose not to sit outside at all. It’s a shame, because the hotel has so much potential. With its beautiful beach, excellent pool, and genuinely outstanding staff, it could be a truly exceptional place. However, in its current condition, the lack of maintenance means it does not fully live up to the standard one would expect.

"Good Value"

Ploy (Plog?) was a key member of the staff. Always where he needed to be and provided exceptional service at every turn. Westin should take note of this young man and consider him for promotion. He understands things from the customer perspective and has a bright future.

"Terrible Service - Horrible Experience"

Arrived in Phuket airport on Monday, we took a taxi from airport for an hour drive to the resort. When we arrived at the resort we checked in and we were informed we were upgraded to suite ( as it is customery for a titanium member). I was offered 1,000 extra points or free breakfast, I chose free breakfast, by the way, every other Westin I get the upgrade, the 1,000 points, and the free breakfast. Then we were driven with a buggy to our room since was far and uphill and I was told that if we wanted to go somewhere we just dial 0 and the buggy will come to pick us up. When we were ready to go to dinner, it was raining I dialed 0, for 20 minutes nobody was answering phone so i can get the buggy for dinner. We looked for an umbrella in the room, no umbrella to be found anywhere. So we had to wait until the rain stopped an hour later to go to dinner. I had booked an activity, through the hotel website to go to Phi Phi islands by speedboat. When I asked asked them about the details of the activity nobody knew anything. Finally I was told the shuttle will pick us up 7:30 am to take us to the boat for the trip to Phi Phi islands. I got up at 5:30am to get ready have breakfast and begin the trip. We waited until 9:30am before we were picked up. The excuse from them, it was a mix up with the schedule. The next day I woke up at 4:30 am from water dripping sound from the ceiling on the top of my suitcase. Excuse, air-conditioning leak. Finaly when it was time to check out on Friday, I asked for late checkout as is a benefit of a titanium member, I was told the request could not be honored, they needed the room but they could accommodate my request by moving me to another room on checkout date. This is the WORST SERVICE I have ever had on a property associated with Marriott name. Overall the property is outdated, rooms are old and not adequately equiped, only one robe in the suite, no umbrella, air-condition old, furniture are worn out. The food on the resort, as with most restorts, was average at best. The pools were very good but the rest of the grounds of the property were not well maintained. And of course as I indicated above the service is non-exeistent to very very bad. Needless to say I will never go to this property ever again!!!
