Hosts were lovely, couldn’t be more helpful. Room very comfortable with great touches and excellent bed. Very central in Dorchester and great for us and train travel. Fantastic breakfast!

"A well appointed B&B, serving excellent breakfasts in an attractive, old town."

Our room was large, clean and comfortable, the owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent, with plenty of choice and we were well situated to enjoy the ambience of an attractive, old town.

Hard to fault, except that we were situated on a busy road and the sound of traffic passing day and night could be found to be disturbing.

For personal pleasure travel, we have stayed at B&B's and Inns all over the world. Westwood House ranks among our very favorite. This was actually our second stay at Westwood House since we have friends who live in Dorset, On each of our stays we found a spacious, pristine and charmingly decorated room with ensuite bathroom. The host owners, Karl & Jocelyn enhance your time in Dorchester by making you feel more like your friends than your innkeepers. A cheerfully served wonderful fully cooked breakfast rounds out a perfect stay. We especially liked Jocelyn's hollandaise sauce for the eggs benedict offerings.

Size of the room and the bed were great. Although I didn’t indulge myself, the offering of a variety of breakfasts is also a nice touch.

Nothing - will stay here again when there is a need to be in the area.
