Allington Manor

We arrived late on a Tuesday evening after a 3.5 hour trip “up North”. On arrival, even though it was dark, we were both blown away by the stunning beauty of this Manor House. We were met in the hall by our host, and it felt so relaxed, yet so professional at the same time, it was faultless. We were upgraded to a larger room than we had originally booked, and were able to have the heating put on for us, as there was a chill in the air when we arrived. The room quickly warmed up, and was cozy, homely and so very, very comfortable. I am dying to know which brand pillows you use, as they are up there with some of the best we’ve ever had the pleasure of resting our heads on, and we’d like to get some at home!! We had a fantastic nights sleep, and the beauty of the place was elevated come day break, when you can really take in the views, the history of the house (the booklet was a very interesting read!), and soak in the charm. Breakfast was superb, again, a very relaxed affair which suits us down to the ground; attentive hosts, strong delicious coffee, and a great vibe all round. I’m sad it wasn’t warmer so we could have sat outside, as the gardens look spectacular. If we hadn’t have already booked our wedding venue, I would seriously give Allington Manor a consideration, and I highly recommend it for a relaxing night away, or as a venue for events. Absolutely beautiful house, great location, lovely pleasant staff delicious breakfast Stairs a little steep to the attic but all added to the experience of staying in such a beautiful stone house. We will come back here in a heartbeat although we will stay in one of the much bigger luxurious rooms below next time.

We enjoyed a very comfortable one night stay at Allington Manor to break up a long journey. It's the most beautiful Jacobean Manor house and the garden is gorgeous. We stayed in the Lady's Room at the front of the house which was absolutely stunning, complete with a four-poster bed, roll top bath and huge fireplace. I enjoyed reading about the history of the house in the book in the room. Breakfast was delicious and hosts were friendly and helpful. We'd definitely stay at Allington Manor if travelling through the area again. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Leo organised an anniversary party for us and it was perfect. The garden is the most beautiful garden and the house is extraordinary. All our guests commented what a beautiful venue it was and the hotel guests were delighted by their tastefully decorated rooms. Lesley, who managed the event was incredible and we feel so grateful to all the staff for their brilliant service. We’d definitely recommend Allington Manor.

We had a weekend wedding at Allington Manor, from the moment we walked through the door our experience was AMAZING, Leo , Leslie and the rest of the team made it go seamlessly, the rooms are gorgeous, the grounds are stunning, and the food was delicious, honestly cannot fault anything. Thanks so much for making our wedding perfect.

This place is a little gem. We had a very comfortable night in the Footman’s room. Breakfast was excellent.

A world away from the busy A1, yet only 5 minutes drive The hotel building had great character, the owner was very friendly and the breakfast first class ....and a peaceful flower filled garden to sit in

We are so pleased we picked Allington Manor for our ceremony and wedding breakfast. Leo and the team were so kind and helpful, always trying to make it a smooth process and answering any questions we had. The manor was beautiful and the newly renovated gardens were perfect. We used the recommended chef Damien and the food was amazing, he even catered for all our families allergens and dietary requirements. We would definitely recommend!
