Stayed here on a short trip to Newark. What a fantastic place! Beautiful house in beautiful surroundings with Amy and Leo the perfect hosts who couldn't have been more welcoming.

The hosts at Allington Manor were welcoming and friendly. The hotel was very clean and well kept. We were in an attic room (the Butler's room) which was spacious enough for us and had views onto the village Green. The stairs leading to it would make it difficult for someone with mobility problems. Being in the roof it was necessary to duck under the odd roof beam. But it was warm and comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed our short stay.

Having stayed at the beautiful Allington Manor last night, the only observation I can think of is to check whether your guests are able to climb the stairs to the Maid’s and Butler’s room. It was quite challenging with dodgy old limbs

Lovely building with loads of period features. Beautifully and sympathetically recovered. Full of rustic charm. Located in lovely village with Nice pub 100metres down the road Low beams and steep stairs up to the loft rooms Great breakfast included Will definitely be back!

Allington Manor was absolutely lovely. The building and rooms are beautiful, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was also really nice. We can’t wait to come back!

"Really beautiful property"

I booked Allington Manor as it was really close to Newark and was visiting the antiques fair there, PLUS the hotel looked gorgeous and it was. Lovely room, via a tight staircase which is too be expected in this period property. The people at were nice and helpful. Some more signage on the roads on the way there would be really helpful, as it is a bit off the beaten path.
