Porth Lodge Hotel

We have just got back from an excellent weekend stay at the Porth Lodge Hotel on the outskirts of Newquay. Dave, Carol and the team made us very welcome and our room was lovely, cosy, and very comfortable. Dave's excellent cooking and Carol's fabulous hospitality made for a lovely relaxing weekend away. The Porth's great location makes the beach very accessible and the walk into Newquay very doable to walk off the delicious and very generous cooked breakfast which set us up for the day. I would definitely recommend a stay in the Porth for it's lovely Cornish charm and great value for money!

Very friendly and clean. Comfortable rooms and generous breakfast. Only downside was that water in showers never managed to get hot.

A great stay and well located hotel on the outskirts of Newquay. Only a ahort walk to the nearesr beach also. The room was great and breakfast good too. I ate in the restaurant too and was a good evening meal after a long day traveling and work.

Comfy bed and all the facilities you would expect, good price considering we had on site parking and were within walking distance of the beach.

Comfortable accommodation, clean and tidy. Personally had difficulty with access. Steep external stairs and landing was a little difficult for me, but I’m not as fit as I used to be!! Breakfast was good and enjoyable and the hosts/staff very helpful. Whilst the hotel is not 5* it does tick most of the boxes. I would recommend the Porth Lodge for a good base to tour Cornwall. Thank you Carol and Dave for a good holiday.

Cosy public bar & alternate dining area. Made for an all round pleasant experience. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Recommended!

Myself and my fiancé stayed on late notice, as only called in the evening on the night we stayed and to our luck they had room to fit us in. They were excellent and were incredibly welcoming. We stayed in one of the apartments which was beautifully presented could not fault it at all! We enjoyed a meal at the restaurant which was delicious and staff was lush. We could have stayed longer! We have already recommended this place to friends/ family and we cannot wait to stay again on our next venture to Newquay.

Excellent place to stay-friendly efficient staff-breakfast best ever! Location excellent-about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Good evening meals-plenty of choice. Lovely clean bright bedroom. Good bar and plenty if seating outside. Good car park. All in all a lovely place to stay.
