A lovely place

Excellent little friendly family run hotel, good food, great breakfast. You may struggle if disable etc as there are a few stairs no lifts.

Lovely room, everything really clean and fresh. Very good service, kind and flexible.

Very nice friendly place to stay nice rooms and facilities nice walks on the beach very quiet location will stay again in future short breaks

I liked how the staff were so greeting when my partner and I first walked in and quick at all the services I would definitely recommend because the room was spotless, also was very handy for the beach to be down the road.

Staff were lovely, especially with the children. Everywhere was clean and food was good. Room was actually an apartment and was huge. However , it was tired and dated and the window was over the smoking area so we couldnt leave it open.

There's good and bad... GOOD: The location is fantastic. Can't beat it. Its about a 5min walk from probably the best beach in Newquay. Free carpark 50 yards from the hotel Great food (good portions), and drink (£4.50 a pint) BAD: Room (12), very hot and basic. No aircon Hosts, not very personalable or attention to detail. Requested twin beds but were given a double (awkward). Birthday mentioned on booking but not acknowledged. Scrambled egg very dry and inedible Noisy at night... bar very 'locals' centered and loud chat until late (3am) at night. Thin walls... could hear people snoring next door Dirty sheets OVERALL: Probably won't return despite the location. Hosts were a bit too formal and far less personalable. Would give advice that to talk to your guests, make the effort to get to know them and make the personal connection. We didn't feel welcome.

Very nice hotel tucked away above the beach in Porth, easy walk down hill to beach but a steep walk back up, was staying for work so didn't visit beach during day time. The owners were very nice and as I was leaving before breakfast every day the did me a packed lunch, on the last day as I was leaving for home I got to try breakfast there were many choices and all cooked very well, there is also a bar in the hotel and with guest ales owner knows his beer as the 3 I tried were all good.

Great location a real hidden gem with great food and comfy rooms and 5 minutes from the beach - will definitely be back !
