Fairy Springs Motel

Amazing location

We chose it to attend an attraction nearby. Very convenient to it. The staff were super friendly and helpful

It was close to entertainment , ( next door to mini golf and the skyline gondola) food and supermarket

I wasn’t there long enough to find out.

Location

The shower base was s/s, very flexible and slippery. I slipped and fell whilst showering. Water pressure was bad. The apartment wasn’t clean, empty drink bottles under the 2 single beds, carpet felt grotty, dining table was sticky. Power points not in suitable locations. Television didn’t work properly, was eventually fixed. Owner didn’t subscribe to Sky movie channels which was disappointing. We stayed in New Zealand for 12 nights, north and south Island. Out of the 6 places we stayed, this place was more expensive than 4 of them and all of the other 5 were far better quality accommodation!!!

The 2 bedroom unit # 5: was tidy, sheets clean and crisp. However the Motel as a whole is worn and needs a good spruce up. Shower was lovely, good pressure and hot. Good grounds, so close to Skyline New Zealand. Here are our comments. 1. Had a slight dip between the dining and the hallway to the 2nd bedroom and toilet, this is dangerous as we did trip a couple of times. 2. The bed in the lounge, looks like it is supposed to be attached to the wall, however this is not so, we couldn't get the bolt in so it bangs on the wall, the bolt is loose. it is dangerous. 3. The coffee etc had not been filled up. No instant coffee, only 1 sugar. Really! There were 3 of us in this unit. 4. All the unit needs is a spruce up, paint, level the floor, fix the bed. We still enjoyed our stay. Thanks

Great stay, would book again. Communication with the Motel, prior to stay, was excellent I enquired about a very late check-in, manager gave me a number to ring when we got there. Turned out didn't need to, but really appreciated the manager being so great - no issue to check in late, took heaps of stress off. When we got there manager took me to room and gave me a run down on everything, including how to work the tv. Can't remember the last time that happened - again really appreciated it. Thank you!!

Close to Skyline & Matai Maori village

NEEDS MAJOR UPDATING

Rooms are BASIC. Need MUCH updating. Bathroom has a mirror on one side & plugs for dryer, etc across the room. No AC, portable fan helped with heat/humidity. No screens to keep bugs out. Towel rack duck taped in place. Worn out cabinets & rusty stove. Near Skyline & Miotri Village. OK for a night or 2, but otherwise not up to snuff.
