Hout Bay Manor

We very much liked the manor house style, our room, the staff and the breakfast, though the portion of the Manor House breakfast was a little on the small side.

We were .disappointed with the selection of wines and also with our dinner - the food generally lacked seasoning, the mussel shells were broken and there were only 9 mussels, the squid tentacles were over cooked and the Thai calamari salad had mainly shredded cabbage and lacked any sauce or flavour

Excellent stay - lovely hotel and great staff

Breakfast was ok , but we had to pay for water. Very strange and unusual The room was disappointing, very small ( we were promised an upgrade) The bathroom especially the shower was very uncomfortable and rather oldfashioned. One really had to climb in. I think we were the only guests. So to be honest, we did not like much

Really beautiful hotel, with lots of character. Loved all the artwork and decor. Great on site restaurant as well, and very convenient that breakfast started at 7am as we had an early flight. Would definitely stay again when next in Hout Bay.

I booked the room for a friend who was super happy. Really lovely stay - thank you! The staff were always so helpful and accommodating, breakfast was delicious, the room was great. Location and security perfect - all in all really good and we would not hesitate in recommending it and staying there again.
