"Nice hotel and Spa"

Nice budget hotel with good service and facilities, we went to the spa and we had a very relaxing spa day with kids. Probably, would be good to switch on the hammam a little bit earlier. We enter at 11:00 kids session) and we could not use the hammam (was very cold)

"Absolutely Disgusting on all levels. Avoid Avoid Avoid."

Where to start. Upon arriving at the hotel, all seemed quite impressive in the foyer, during the booking in process I was presented with an all-inclusive menu!! This stated what was included and not included in the “All inclusive” package, to which I was taken back slightly as it was quite slim pickings of local drinks with timings from 11am to 11pm, even coffee was denied to us before the 11am threshold. Snacks throughout the day were offered as a choice of (cheese and ham toasties or margarita pizza), all in all not acceptable only having 2 choices, also if you have allergies are vegetarian/vegan or simply don’t like cheese or bread. I signed the relevant paperwork and proceeded to our room (Superior), to find a basic double bed, tv, coffee maker (no coffee, cups or otherwise) shower room, “mini-Bar” (No contents within, it was a mini fridge not bar) and seated area on the balcony. If this was a “Superior room” in a 4-star, Michelin hotel, I would have dreaded to see a basic room. So far, not even 30 minuets in the hotel and its bleaker than receiving next year’s tax returns. We decided to shrug it off and go for dinner thinking it couldn’t get much worse, boy was I wrong!! The presentation of the food on offer was presented well, but that’s where it stopped. The entire menu was cold, even what was supposed to be hot food was lukewarm, tepid at best and I had to utilise the 1 microwave at most visits to warm our food through, with that, every meal was literally ground hog day with the odd variation here and there in the evening. This leads me to the “Christmas gala” the day after we arrive. A set menu of the hotel’s choice, given specific seating, too which was geared to the local nationals and no other, also not having the choice of using the normal restaurant as it had been closed, so it was a case of take it or leave it. The whole thing was a disaster where most people had left the “Gala” by the 3rd course because the food and “atmosphere” for the want of a better word, was far from acceptable, cold food, no music or entertainment of any kind. We would have been better going to a soup kitchen for the homeless!!! Over the next 6 days a continuous ground hog experience, cold food, no entertainment and closed pools (30 euro’s for 60 mins in the “Spa” if you did fancy a dip), 2 choices of snacks and an absolute shed load of pushbikes cluttering up the hotel. The “mini bar” in our room only filled 3 times in 10 days, although reception was informed several times. To which it consisted of, 2 small bottles of water, 1 small bottle of coke, 1 tonic, 1 Sanmiguel (no opener as they were capped) 1 miniature of Gin, 1 Jack Daniels which of neither we drink. The bedding was changed once on the last day of our stay, although again asking the chamber maid I witnessed her spraying bedding not changing it!!!!! On the follow up to NYE we had been informed that there would be yet another gala, again with a menu of the hotel’s choice with no other option of eateries for this occasion. On the 30th/31st we had noticed a massive influx of local nationals, for both the gala and some dancing event that is held annually, to which is not a major concern, but would like to highlight a few issues. Once the hotel had started to fill up with said nationals, the “all inclusive” timings changed from 11/11 to 10am, 12pm and the focus of service revolved around the locals as they were paying cash for drinks leaving us to wait extraordinary times to be served, also getting into the restaurant was a mission waiting up to 30 minutes to be seated to get ones cold food. WHY WERE THE TIMINGS CHANGED FOR THE LOCALS?????? The whole management of a full hotel and premium guests was shocking. We were also denied entrance to Audrie’s restaurant, although it stated in the description that 2 visits would be allowed via booking in the venue, 1 for the 1st week of our stay and 1 other for the second week commencing. It was closed to us all the while and only opened for the locals. The whole experience of Christmas and NY at this hotel was both disgusting and distressing, leaving me to console my wife on numerous occasions and completely ruining our anniversary. By and large I could rant on and on about the lack of professionalism and standards regarding the rigmarole from beginning to end. Not once did we see or hear from a Jet2 rep during our stay to whom we could raise our concerns. I am indeed looking for something in way of compensation, as this is not how we envisaged seeing in our new year or spending Christmas. Also I am submitting a claim for transfer fee’s as the transfer did not collect us on our departure date although instructions were followed to the note and cost us 120Euro's to do so.

"Hotel Diamante Beach."

Initial impression of the hotel was very good. Room good balcony with a sea view and bed comfortable. Short walk to the beach and a very nice walk along the sea front but having to avoid the dog mess. The buffet style food was awful. Fish overcooked even had to scrape it from the griddle. Even if you went in as soon as the (canteen style) restaurant opened the food was luke warm and seemed to have been there for some time. After reading the Christmas gala dinner menu we left preferring a pizza in the bar. Speaking to people after they thought we had had the better deal. Advertised as having an indoor swimming pool it was not stated that you had to pay. One family of four paid around 90 euros for one hour, they were not impressed. Over all impression of the hotel clean, tidy friendly and helpful staff but will not be going back.

"Disappointing"

Furniture in our room & eating areas very old and battered. No simple items such as a tissue box or a shower cap in the room. Didn´t offer a bath robe in the Spa, which had several areas out of service.

"Excellent"

Cozy and Relaxing. Make sure you request the shuttle 2 days before your arrival and departure from BeniConnect Car Service. Uber and Cabify doesnt work from the hotel to the airport. There is no ice machine in the room floors. Stores and supermarket closes on Sunday. Overall, a nice hotel

Nice and accommodating staff. The dinner buffet could have had more variation, with pork as the «main dish» 4 out of 5 nights. Also, the room service was difficult to reach by phone, but once reached it was excellent. Nice and tidy pool area with plenty of sunbeds.
